Food was really great , just the place was kind of dirty & dead bugs , crickets on the floors. Restroom did not have proper good... working locks. One of the workers shoved the door hard enough & broke the lock & walked in on a lady that was is there. Read more
So this location has some very serious management issues. If I was an employee, I would currently be searching for a new... position. The Associate quickly informed us that they currently were very limited in available foods. So we decided to stay andchoose from what they had in stock. They said the truck was late. But that does not explain 5 light out, children's arcade outof order, sound issu6on the tv's, water will not turn off in ladies restroom and crooked paper towel holder or drink out oforder or ice cream machine out of order. I was driving through Sweetwater and decided to stop here for some chicken. I was highly disappointed. I ordered spicy tenders... and when I got my order the tenders weren't spicy. I brought this to the attention of a female employee and she seemed annoyedthat I was having her make the tenders spicy. I got 6 tenders and only 2 of them were hot, the other 4 were cold and tasted likethey were old. I should've gone next door to the Whataburger. Read more
Ice machine down. Out of Mac n cheese & fries. It?s 8:45 pm. I?ve never seen more ?out? signs in a restaurant than here. They... are everywhere. Dinning room all closed except the booths. People that aren?t even employees in the back. Not using gloves. Thisis the employees chill spot and you can tell everybody in the back congregating. I received my food and the gravy is all waterwith no taste. My mash potatoes were fresh. Only thing I was happy with. Read more
Waited well over 20 minutes in the drive through line. Finally got to the window to realize "golden chick" changed their... uniform??? Mind you this girl is behind the counter. They were so unorganized. I said a small cup of gravy they gave me a familysize. I only ordered a LG fry no chicken. What did you think I was going to drink it??? Read more
Visited on a Monday afternoon. Evidently, they are still in the process of either renovating or moving into this location.... There were boxes sitting around, TV's that needed to be put up. Saw 1 gentleman going around putting up pictures, adjustinglights, etc. Staff was friendly and building was fairly clean. They were out of Fish, but the chicken/gravy was good. Noticedthey offered free ice cream cone for Dine in orders - sign on the ice cream machine said to get cone from counter and to not usecups. Well, the ice cream was actually more like ice milk, very thin/runny and really needed to be in a cup and not in a cone. Read more
We stopped at the Golden Chick on our drive back to Lubbock for lunch. The dining room was clean that the staff was very... friendly. We ordered out food and in no time at all, it was ready for us to eat. The food was very tasty and hot. We noticedthat that had free self serve ice cream if you were dining in. As I was sitting at the table eating, I notice the "GoldenChick" egg machine and decided to try it. I do have to say that I was a bit disappointing when it took my money and never gaveme the egg so I tried it again with the same results. I guess I will just skit the vending machine next time. First visit and it was a pleasant experience. Scott extremely personable, definitely a people person and seems to love what he... does! Spoke to every customer who entered, like an old friend. Staff were throughly cleaning everything..dining area, drinkfountain, floors, tables. All employees working tonight, appeared to work as a team and enjoy their job. I didn't go to the restroom..so can't state how that looked. It was the perfect stopon our travels and will come back to this location, if ever I thearea again.
