Coming from the UK I eat curry regularly and have many Indian friends whom I eat Indian great Indian food with. There are also... many good Indian choices in the area, Basil India and Turmeric in St Louis to name just two. India?s oven is not one of thesegood restaurants though, instead I would describe it as providing by far the worst Indian curry I?ve had. Why? Curry sauce wasas thin as water, meat pieces were incredibly small (9x1cm chunks, some chunks were pure fat) and it was the the blandest mostunappealing sauce I?ve ever had. I did not finish it and ended up throwing it away. We ordered two ?different? curries, whichtasted exactly the same as each other, bland. The other above issues were consistent with both. When I called to highlightthese issues, although they were friendly there was an apparent lack of care. I understand these issues happen but i did expectsome action, apology and discount, which I would have been happy with. This review then likely wouldn?t have been written. Ihighly suggest to the owners that you visit the above restaurants and work out how their food is vastly superior, yet they cancharge less. Finally, if you are looking for good curry on this side of the river I would suggest Taj Indian Cuisine inEdwardsville. Read more

I got samosas, fish curry, and mango lassi. the samosas were tiny and, I cannot stress this enough, did. not. come. with. sauce.... the first Indian restaurant I've ever been to that serves dry samosas. the curry was good, the rice was great, and the lassi wasphenomenal. I would have preferred a reverse ranking. Read more

I was very pleased with my dine-in experience. I ordered two of the Vegetable Samosa's. They were crispy on the outside and a... nice mash of veggies in the inside. They were served with a green and red sauce. I liked them so much I got an order to go. Ialso ordered the Reshmi Chicken. It was soooooo good. Not greasy at all, vegetables were cooked perfectly with just a littlecrisp! I will definitely go back when I am in the area again 100%. I agree with others the price was up there a bit, but waswell worth it in my eyes. Read more

Ever since our first time trying this restaurant out, we?ve been hooked! We now get take out from here at least twice a week and... it is so fresh and delicious every single time. The vegetable samosas are amazing. The vegetable pakora is to die for. Myhusband loves the butter chicken (he?s pretty basic ????) and so far I have been in love with the chana masala and so much more!I can?t wait to try every dish from this place and continue to support them. I will ALWAYS recommend! Read more

The food was absolutely delicious, but the service was absolutely terrible and you have to share one small plate of rice with... everyone at the table or pay $4.00 give or take for another small plate. We won't be returning and there are better places ifyou just drive a short distance which I'm willing to do not to be nickel and dimed and treated poorly Read more

A great choice for Indian food in the area. The chicken Vindaloo had a nice spice level and great flavors. Not as nice as when... they had the buffet and you could try many dishes but times have changed I guess. Still a great place to try. Read more

The woman working was very patient with me and took the time to go through the menu and show me what items on it were... vegan-friendly. They have a lot of vegetarian options, but not all are vegan and she was very helpful with which ones were plantbased. Ultimately, she recommended the spicy garbanzo beans. It was delicious! I asked for it not too spicy. You might want tosay make it mild because Indian food is spicy-spicy! Lol I will be back and try another of the vegan options next time. Read more
