Finally decided to stop in this morning for breakfast. OMG... I'M SO GLAD I DID!! THEIR PANCAKES ARE AMAZING!!! I ordered 2... pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon, fresh fruit with coffee. Everything was delicious, plus they got my eggs exactly the way I like them! Iwas seated immediately even though they were packed and my waitress provided wonderful, friendly service! My family and I love coming here for breakfast. We always recommend this place to friends and other family too. It?s clean, and... the staff is always friendly. There... are a lot of chains around here and there is nothing wrong with that, but there is something about the charm of a family ownedplace that I can't resist. We were looking for a good, Sunday morning breakfast spot, and Golden Oak Pancake House was exactly what we wanted. It was... pretty busy, but he dining room is fairly large and seats a lot of folks. We had actually just left another breakfast place notfar away because the weight was too long. When we got to Golden Oak, in spite of the number of people there, we only waitedabout 5 to 10 minutes. Additionally, service is extremely fast. For being as busy as they were, they were very attentive, and itdidn't take long before we had our food. And the food is absolutely wonderful. You will not be disappointed by a visit to The Golden Oak. We had a 10 minute wait for a table because the place was packed, but... that's usually a great indication of a good meal. Our server was sweet and timely. I tried the 3 egg Garden omelette which hastomato, mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, green pepper, cheese, and onion, and it was delicious. It came with the option of pancakesor toast, and I chose pancakes. Excellent choice. And the option of hash browns or fresh fruit, and I'm glad I chose the hashbrowns. Everyone at our table was full and happy. My son told me his bacon was cooked perfectly, which is a compliment only Ihave received from him when I make his breakfast, lol. My significant other really enjoyed his patty melt, and his fries werefresh and well crafted. Food was delicious, but a little under seasoned. I had the Market skillet, with over easy eggs. Perfectly cooked eggs. Service... was a little sparse, but staff was very friendly. The layout seemed quite cramped. Decor could use an update or a good scrub,since most things seemed second hand or donated. Read more
