It takes too long for the food to come out. The unagi don and shrimp tempura were the first dishes that got served. By the time... I was done with the unagi don and shrimp tempura, we were still waiting. By the time the bento box got served, everything wascold. Usually miso soup will be served at the same with the salad but miso soup was the last thing to make it to the table. Theowner made the waitress pay for the hand rolls that she ran up wrong but then gave us a free hand roll. The waitress was busychatting with a dasher that it took a while to get the bill. Read more

I wish I had found out about this place sooner!! I was on the lookout for a good authentic Japanese restaurant that served curry... udon after trying it for the first time in NYC - Waraku was the first place I tried on my search and I definitely found the bestplace first! They have a huge variety on their menu and every single item I've tried, as well as everything my family andfriends that I've invited have tried, has been amazing!! The service is great, I really value a family owned business like thisespecially nowadays, they do such an amazing job. Elina is incredible and so kind (and has a really impressive memory!!)!! Ireally enjoy coming here and it's definitely the first place on my mind when the "where should we go out to eat" question comesup. I recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for amazing Japanese food!! ???????? Read more

I went to this place looking for a decent Japanese place near my area so my expectations were not high. Before coming I was... under the impression it was authentic Japanese owned restaurant. There is NO WAY this place is Japanese owned or authentic.Sushi quality was about same level as those all you can eat places so mediocre at best. The bent box had a lot of white riceand an orange as a filler (no typical tempura). Spicy tuna had some partially cooked filling. Asked the waitress about it. Atfirst she said it was fish egg/roe but I am not stupid. She asked the chef and said it was mixed in with cooked albacore whichis a first for me. I came in hungry wanting to blow some money on a Friday night but regret not driving further for realJapanese. $85 later for 2 people disappointed and still a little hungry. One and done for me along with many other people whorecently reviewed the place. Read more

What a hidden jem. You can't see it from the main road. This is an authentic Japanese restaurant with many items to chose... from. The chef/owner is from Okinawa and Michelle was the best hostess/server/owner/bartender. She was very hospitable, gracious and kind. This was a wonderful dining experience of epic proportion and I look forward to eating another 7-8+ menuitems. The tuna was very fresh. The calamari legs were perfectly cook, crispy yet not chewy. The assortment of pickled itemswere excellent. Just remember that this is a mom and pop shop and you should support them as much as possible. They are a partof the community and they want to see you enjoy foods from, not just Japan but from their hearts. Read more
