Reviews for 45th Parallel Cafe in Suttons Bay, MI
Our server forgot about us multiple times ???? The chips were stale and the options were a bit pricy. But I liked their chicken... salad! The burrito was solid too. The restroom needed cleaning. Read more
Hadn?t been here in a while so I stopped in for breakfast today . Damn, this is not the experience I had in the past . I ordered... Steak and eggs with 3 eggs . Steak I ordered Medium, it came out Rare . The hash browns were under cooked , I did get 4 eggs butwas only charged for 3 . ( cooks mistake ) . They no longer carry rye toast , so I went with sourdough. The Steak was verytough to cut even with the steak knife supplied with meal . The prices have really skyrocketed since last visit . Steak & Eggsis $ 20 . Bucks on menu but I?m not a cheapskate and normally that would not be a problem if even anywhere near edible. This wasbarely that . The waitress was very pleasant and came back to my table often. She asked if it tasted good and I lied to her andsaid it was . ( Way too many Karen?s in this world and I didn?t want to be one ) All said and done , bill was $ 27. Plus dollars with a hot tea . That and a 6 dollar tip , total out the door price was $ 33. Plus bucks . Most definitely not worth it . Iwill never be back !! Read more
We arrived to find people waiting outdoors, but I went in and got on the list. It was rainy, so no outside seating. Our party of... 2 was seated in 10 minutes! Our server was prompt and efficient as well as helpful with menu favorites. Our food arrived hot andfreshly prepared. We both loved what we ordered? breakfast skillet and huervos rancheros. Loved the unique variations to thesecommon entrees! The sourdough toast was amazing! Would go back every day! Well worth it! Read more
We were told 30 minutes wait give or take upon arrival. 50 minutes later the host came out to tell the group of people waiting... that she was sorry for the long wait and that they had to give the cooks time to catch up and there would be an additional 20minute wait before anyone would be seated. We understand the kitchen staff being overwhelmed but there were many empty tablesthat the waiting guests could have been seated and given coffee, water, anything really that a server could provide outside ofusing the kitchen staff. We know the food is great so 2 stars but that kind of poor service and wait time to be seated after thefact is not going to get our business again. Read more
Breakfast served all day. Biscuits and gravy was great (a little on the sweet side). Our table greeter was the owners son and... he was very polite and a nice personal touch to the visit. Out door seating was perfect to people watch. Read more

Awesome food! Quick and tasty. My server was amazing and courteous! The skillet is highly recommended.
Honestly we looked online before we went to see if everyone was game. We looked at what I assume was their old menu (in color)... where prices were reasonable and our two children were going to get half orders. Wait wasn't bad. It was 11, but we waited 20minutes for a table for four. Server was friendly and attentive. Food came out promptly, to good temperature, and tasted great. No complaints there. I gave this review 4/5 stars though for the unreasonable prices. I understand I could have paid moreattention to the updated prices and breakdowns, but honestly I knew what I had come there for and ordered it without taking amore thorough look. I also assumed meats came WITH the meals and the drinks were, if anything, slightly more than average dinersbecause of the location. My orange juice was $6 and other drinks were $4 each; the meats were $5 each person; the singlepancake my daughter got was $8; and the other meals were $13-14, but I split one meal with my younger daughter. Grand total wasa sticker shock of over $70 before tip. We spent $20 less than this at a dinner restaurant on Front street in Traverse City (butthe food wasn't as good at that place). Read more
