The food varies a lot based on when you eat here. If you are just reading reviews for a decent spot in the area for Mexican... Food; you'll do well eating here in the early part of the day. You'll overpay, but it's good. However, service in the eveningsand nights is usually lacking. The food quality is mediocre after 6pm and feels like leftovers being served by bored or annoyedstaff. The occasional nice person at the window does little to make up for the odd order taker seemingly distracted oruninterested in what is being said. Then unsurprisingly orders are usually incorrect at night, but with things like burritos,you don't know if it's wrong until you bite into them. Finally, if you do get your order wrong or have something forgotten likea side item or drink, they cannot process refunds over the phone- you have to go back to their establishment before midnightthat same day, or else as the receipt would disappear. This was all told to me by a guy who wanted off the phone from the secondhe answered. Didn't want to help and getting answers about my options to correct the situation was like pulling teeth. All inall the time I've gone I have only been happy with the daytime crew. Read more
Visited the restaurant on Greenway in the Posada complex. Ordered multiple items for take-out and when I got home the kids meal... didn't have any fries. Returned immediately to the restaurant to let them know they forgot the fries. Spoke to the same personwho took my order. He spoke with the staff on duty and they said if I wanted the fries I would have to pay for them. I saidwhat, and he said sorry they want you to pay for them. Will never return. Read more
We were looking for some dinner after we realized how late it was, and decided instead of driving to Filibertos (our usual late... night Mexican food) we?d try Federico?s for the first time, after reading some of the reviews. From our first experience: Theservice was friendly & prompt. However, we asked for pico, not knowing this wasn?t included and weren?t told there was an upcharge of $1.99 until we got to the window and were paying. We had just pulled out of the parking lot while checking our food,since one of the only/biggest complaints here is botching orders, and noticed they had forgotten the pico we paid extra for, andgave us 2 sauces instead of 4. Other than those two mistakes, I?d say the food was pretty great! I ordered the carne fries, andthey definitely beat out Fili B?s carne fries hands down. My husband prefers the crinkle cut fries, while I prefer regularfries, which is what they serve here. That?s really up to preference? but the flavor was great and the hot sauce had a nice kickto it! My husband got a chicken taco and a beef taco, and said the beef was better than Fili B?s, and while the chicken he feltwasn?t terrible it wasn?t his favorite, it was definitely more generous when it came to the portion. Overall, not bad at all!If we need a last minute and/or late night dinner and are craving Mexican food, we?ll definitely hit up Federico?s from now on! Read more
Bought $40 worth of food. Asked for extra hot sauce and was given 1 more red and green. Got home with 2 red total and 4 green!... Not even close to enough for all that food. They're already small and they don't have salsa so why get skimpy with the hotsauce?!? ???? Read more
We love their food but are so tired of getting our order wrong when we have been ordering the same burritos for months and each... time they do something incorrectly. It is the most simple request. We have even asked them, how can we order these burritos in away that you will understand? They tell us to just say exactly what we want in our burrito: Shredded beef burritos, keep thegreen peppers and onions but no tomato and add potatoes. And every single time, they have either completely left out theveggies, or they put them on the side mixed with the tomatoes anyway. Or they leave the tomatoes in the burrito only but don?tadd the green peppers and onions which is what we ask to keep. Tonight, my partner went inside this time to order the sameburrito and asked them to please put the green peppers and onions inside the burrito. When he got it, instead of checking hedecided to trust them and even asked if they put them in the burrito just to make sure. They said yes! But when he got home heopened his burrito and it was again, completely missing the peppers and onions. It?s so frustrating how they have mistaken thisover and over again. Its almost as if it?s on purpose at this point. It?s starting to not be worth it to always have thismistake. We love your food but please get it together, we have been polite about it and would like to keep eating here. Read more
It's GOT to be illegal to make food this good! Federico's, that's f.e.d, not fred, is our go to place to get an obnoxiously... good steak burrito. One of those bad boys and you are good for the day. Worried about food during an Apocalypse? Don't, headover and pickup a few burritos and you'll be good to go. The staff is friendly, the place is spotlessly clean, and the food isfresh and hot. Just how it should be. My only problem is I can't eat here every day. On second thought, only 50 percent ofyou reading this should go here. If everyone does than y'all will be bogarting my burrito time. So, go here often, just not sooften that I can't get my eats on. Read more
I just spent $60 on four burritos and drinks and asked the worker to refill a drink that I was drinking while I was waiting... almost 30 minutes for my food a quarter of the way and he was about to do it and then the over weight manager in the gray shirtsaid no no no you need to charge him for a full refill and the guy tried to explain to him it?s only a quarter empty I couldjust refill it and he got upset at the worker and told me that I need to pay for the full price. And then went on to say stuffin Spanish about me and him and the cook started laughing. I absolutely hate this place now and that kid thinks he owns the therestaurant when really he just works there for an hourly wage taking his job way too seriously It?s just easy customer serviceyou can provide for somebody that spending so much money and time on such a small amount of food. The atmosphere is average for a fast food restaurant. The place is not cheap, but the portion sizes are big. Their always... friendly when we go. We stopped getting their soda because it's always flat. Read more
