My lovely wife and I decided we wanted to go out for breakfast And we wanted to try some place different that we never went... before. I suggested Neal and Pam?s , for I have been reading good reviews for it. Well we went to Neal and Pam?s . Was very easyto find. Right across the street from Surfside Pier. They had outside dining but we opt to sit at the bar and look out theopen windows with a view of the ocean across the street. Since it was 11 AM, decided it was okay for a morning cocktails. Iordered the redneck Bloody Mary and my wife ordered a mimosa. Our drinks came and we ordered our food. The wife got theBreakfast Bomb. Was a bowl with Home fries topped with egg, cheese, bacon and sausage gravy. I ordered The Deuce (Two Eggsw/bacon, sausage, or ham served with grits and toast). The place was pretty crowded for that time of the day ( guess that?s agood thing, means must be good food). It was great sitting there looking at an ocean view. Our breakfast came , we orderedanother cocktail. Our breakfast was very good. Real good taste. And grits were perfect. Was very satisfied with our breakfasthere. All the bartenders were very professional and courteous.. food was good. And ocean view was a big plus. The rest of menuwas good. We will be back for lunch/ dinner to try the other meals. The food and service were good. Met great people there. The karaoke lady seemed only happy when she sang herself. I have never... seen an expression so sarcastic and mundane as hers. We love to karaoke, but she just ruined the experience. If y'all hire adifferent karaoke person, we would love to come back. Read more
A local bar serving the steady regulars and the ever flow of tourists since 1985 with cold adult beverages, pub food and live... entertainment. Friday evening found us in a nosy, crowded, dimly lit bar with an older gentleman strumming his way through a setout on the front porch. A live band was slated for later that evening inside. The usual decor of beer signs and big screen TVs,padded bar stools with backs lined the bar and surrounding tables. Outside on the porch was less formal with hard stools andsurfboard shaped tables. Self seating was the norm and once a table was bussed we seated ourselves. An open window offereddrinks directly from the bar, but otherwise waitstaff we?re making their rounds. Simple bar menus were available at the tablesoffering burgers, pamwiches, appetizers, salads and some seafood entrees. Service was friendly and drinks from the bar came inStyrofoam cups. I ordered the Ribeye Steak Melt and was more than pleased with the grilled Texas Toast with piping hot juicystrips of ribeye steak, melted swiss and grilled onions. I paid the extra and upgraded from the chips to crispy fries. A picklespear came with it. The food was good and reasonably priced, music entertaining and the atmosphere welcoming.
