Casa Calamari is a cozy Italian restaurant, a hidden gem in Surfside Beach, on business 17. The picture is of my meal the Friday... of Memorial Day Weekend, salmon picatta, it was scrumptious! I have been there twice now and I find it to be a relaxing place,excellent staff, and delicious well prepared food. They also have an great pizza menu; this is casual dining at its finest. Koretta worked alone and kept all of us happy. The old fashioned was the worst thing we got. I recommend u only get regular... drinks, like vodka soda or jack and water, rather than specialty drinks. The bar has a good selection of alcohol. Ordered thecalamari, and it was by far THE best thing. Not chewy or rubbery. Excellent flavor, perfectly fried, and the marinara sauce wasgreat! Ordered the Tuscan salmon and eggplant rollatini. Both were good, not great. I've had better. I've had worse. If I goback, I'll definitely get the calamari and try other appetizers like the bruschetta and mussels in marinara. But probably won'ttry the entrees again. I will say that pizzas and beers seemed to be the most popular items ordered. I didn't find my pasta tobe undercooked or watery. My boyfriend thought his rigatoni might have been a little too al dente but the eggplant was good. Wecouldn't eat it all, so serving portions are good for the price. Read more
This we my first time eating here. We go our food to go. Wanted wings but was told they didn?t have them anymore. We got 2... pizzas instead. They were very good. I would highly recommend this place. Very nice people and priced just right. Read more

Being lovers of all things pizza, got... us picking up the Pesto Grilled Chicken pie and finding yet another favorite. Thick, chewier made from scratch crust with alighter zesty Pesto sauce, topped with chunky grilled chicken, strips of sun dried tomatoes, artichokes and mozzarella cheese. Prices do fall more in line with sit down establishments, then delivery chains. But I feel you are paying more for quality, notquantity. Super Dinner with the best atmosphere. The service was superb at the least. The attention to detail was a great as the flavor of... the food. We had the gnocchi & a juicy ????. First time getting food from here. We got take out tonight, pizza (one was gluten free crust) and stuffed mushrooms. We were... sadky disappointed. Both pizzas needed more sauce as they were very dry. The stuffed mushrooms were terrible and overpriced. The menu description said stuffed with ground beef - there was zero ground beef. I gave 2 stars because the staff were very niceotherwise would have rated 0 or 1. Read more
