ok so i know the reviews were mixed, coming in. i needed dinner and it was late and VB&G was pretty much the only thing open so... i gave it a shot. pleased to report the fish and chips and fries were exactly as good as the positive reviews say. didnt try theother stuff obviously. also very reasonably priced for the ridiculously expensive neighborhood we are in here. all in all, agood evening with great service. they let me stay til 9.45 even tho they technically close at 930. Service was excellent.Four of us for dinner. 2 orders of fish and chips. Enjoyed very much. One order of pulled pork. Also... delicious. I Ordered the fish tacos. The grilled cod was delicious but the serving size was skimpy. Had to dig through the pileof cabbage to find it. Others than the portion size I enjoyed the tacos. And using the chips and salsa to fill up the plate nota good idea. Read more

Stopped in for lunch and a drink, everything was satisfactory but very mediocre. Fish tacos were dry and quite bland but the... fish itself was perfectly cooked. Burger had good flavor but the patty was dry and a bit over cooked. Overall still a decentplace to grab a bit and a drink. Read more
Food was good but nothing special. I would describe this place as a normal burger and bar mill with nothing to make it stand out... from the rest of the crowd. The menu does not have a lot of variety and is definitely resort priced. Otherwise the atmosphereand staff are good. Clean place, lots of room, and a couple fireplaces to keep you warm. Don't know if I would recommend it overany of the dozen other burger places nearby. Read more
Tip: make a reservation if you're trying to go during normal dinner hours. The food was great. My daughter loved the lettuce... wraps. My buffalo chicken salad was sufficiently spicy with a decent amount of chicken. Overall we had a nice dinner and wouldreturn. Read more
