We walked in this evening for dinner. It was pretty empty and there were 2 servers present. Soon after us, two more tables were... seated. Those people were quickly served chips and drinks and their orders were taken, while we sat and waited ten minutes andno one acknowledged us. It seems that certain clientele receive prompt friendly service ???????????while others don’t. We leftand found better food and service a few blocks away. Read more
What made this place a successful customer service and food taste great was George! His energy always positive, attentive to all... customers not just the regulars. He made sure the kitchen prepared the great dishes. To my dismay we heard the owner use theexcuse for his lack of attentiveness and understaffing. That George had resigned. One cook-one new waitress (on the second day)attend to a full house plus take out. My chorizo con huevos was delicious but the rice was over cooked and hard. Heard many good things about this restaurant, so I went to check it out. But it wasn't as good as everyone said. First off I... went between the lunch and dinner hours, so it wasn't busy, 2 other tables besides myself and one of those already had food. Thewaitress was slow to get me water and take my order. Being it was afternoon snack time I got the sampler appitizer and refriedbeans (frijoles). The ap had chicken wing drumettes, both chicken and beef taquitos, quesadillas, smashed avocados (aguacate)and sour cream. Very tasty. But the best thing was the frijoles. Made with pinto beans, which were delicious, like momma use tomake.
