Got the #3 mild and my high expectations were met. Chicken was well seasoned, juicy and warm with a nice toasted bun for my... sandwich and some slaw in between. Paired with crispy hot fries, pickles, and a sweet honey-like sauce too. Never got the chanceto try this in LA but super happy it's here in Sunnyvale! Read more
This is a new chicken tenders place (I know it has chicken sliders but mostly it's just a tender served as a slider).... Unfortunately, it also means it only serves white meat and the only way to make it flavorful is with fried breading along withspicy sauce. The sauces are not bad but a little flaky. There are multiple levels and medium is fairly good as the spice doesn'toverpower the flavor of the chicken tender (albeit it's only flavorless white meat). Btw, there is no drink included in thecombos. What I don't like is the default payment tablet that asks for tips for a fast food restaurant although you can find the"no tip" option hidden in a small font at the bottom. Tipping culture is getting ridiculous as it was originally meant forpeople paid under minimum wages. Anyways, I didn't remove any stars because of it. Read more
I ordered via DoorDash with speedy delivery service which is something new feature with some of the restaurants..... of course... with added 2 to 3 $$ over & above the tip ... it was fast within half an hour of ordering my delivery was done we loved it butcan't afford it every time... I ordered Dave's #2: 2 Sliders w/ Fries All sliders are served with kale slaw, pickles, a drizzleof Dave's sauce, and a side of Dave's sauce. Single Tender All tenders are served with sliced bread, pickles, and a side ofDave's sauce. I could customize my both sandwiches per our taste which I really liked it ... I wanted to love this place but I didn't. The medium spice chicken strips were a little more than medium hot, which is fine... with me, but all I tasted was heat and salt with a powdery mouthfeel from the coating. I couldn't figure out what the stalebread was for under each of the chicken strips were too big for the bread slices to be wrapped it. I didn't get that many frieseither. Since I personally hate thousand island type dressings, the honey option lubricated the coating to make it edible. Myfamily member ordered a side of kale slaw which I thought was bland. On the plus side, the service and people were excellentand friendly. The chicken strips were a nice size and they were nice and juicy. I also liked the pickle slices, the best thingin both of our meals today. For almost 30 bucks for two people to eat, without drinks, there are better places to spend yourmoney. But if you do dine here, tip the workers, they aren't your slaves and are most likely future college students saving up. Read more
Went to the grand opening and had a good lunch. Line was LONG but they had it efficiently moving. Service was super friendly and... informative. I don?t do spicy so my tender was ?No Spice? and was flavorful. My husband and friends had ?Hot? and ?Extra Hot.?Everyone enjoyed the meal. Sitting outside was a little awkward as the area is filled with unhoused-persons. I definitely wasnot expecting to see a bare butt right before taking my first bite. Read more
This super hyped chicken shop has a location in the Bay Area now! Very popular in SoCal, so I decided to give it another try... here. The chicken is usually tender (never dry) and I like the Dave's sauce... so why not? Well... Honestly, the biggestdownside is the seasoning. It is very salty and the slice of white bread is quite random too... I do love the mac & cheese andfries here though! I always debate between the two when I'm picking my side for a Dave's #3 combo. I think I like the sides morethan the chicken! Overall, it is decent fast food, but pretty pricey for $15. Read more
Came here during their soft opening, and was surprised to see there wasn't a long line already! The servers were super friendly,... and I got their #1 which is 2 tenders with fries. The food came pretty quickly, but I had a chance to look at the decor.Everything is clean and bright, and it's got a vibrant vibe as well. I took it to go so didn't get to enjoy the ambiance toomuch. Couldn't wait to dig in once I got home! I got the tenders in a medium spiciness level, which has got a decent kick butnot too much. Next time I may try one level higher. One thing I do have to say is the tenders were a bit on the salty side,hopefully that was just a glitch and next time would be better. Will definitely come back when I have a fried chicken craving! Nice ambience. Friendly staff. We had extra hot chicken sliders with fries. It was just about right. Could have gone for level... hot as well. Chicken was juicy with nice thin crust. Fries were cribcke cut style, well seasoned, went well with sliders. Iwould pick this place over a regular fast food chicken if willing to pay extra price. Read more
