I love this place. If youre in burbank, they are a must have for lunch. It is a generous portion of umami. And the staff is... super friendly, helping with recommendations and providing you with quality service. I got the bbq chicken bowl with a friedegg and the banana bbq sauce. I was in an absolute state of bliss. You cannot go wrong with the bbq chicken. And i cannot waitto try out their speciality fries and adobo next time! Read more

I attended a Basic Life Support class at the same location Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia was having her swearing in event. ... Attendees were given 2 meal tickets for their choice of food trucks at the event. I connived my way into scoring the 2 mealtickets and Achara Food Truck earned one of my nefariously schemed tickets. Having the option of either a chicken adobo ricebowl or a bistek rice bowl, I choice the bistek. Bistek (beef steak) rice bowl- Not authentically made or presented, I stillenjoyed Achara's bistek. Usually beef cut into thick slices, with a good amount of brightness coming from citrus (usuallycalamansi), Achara's lacked the brightness component and was cut up into smaller strips. The missing brightness was a minorletdown, but I actually preferred the bite-size strips, as it made the bistek easier to chew. Traditional bistek has slicedbeef that has to be cut, and Achara's food truck version made for more portable fare, which I can see why. The rice wasexpertly done - fluffy, and not overly moist and/or sticky. Service was good. Ordering was easy. Getting food to customersseemed to need a logistical improvement. The lady kept calling out names. Those who didn't show, she kept calling those namesout along with the new batch of orders that were ready, and so on & so forth. Perhaps a screen displaying the names of thosewhose order was ready, or a number even, would save that woman's vocal cords, not to mention customer's hearing abilities. Myfree bistek rice bowl from Achara was much appreciated & happily consumed. I found it tasty, but the regular price of a ricebowl seems a bit high, which is applicable to pricing on all food truck offerings, in general. Needless to say, I'm not oneinfatuated with the whole food truck phenomena. Nevertheless, Achara's bistek was delicious on a most cold, rainy SoCalday. Recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM Read more
