What an amazing experience! My friend & I visited Main Street Sumter & by accident saw The Sidewalk Cafe! Dr.Tracey came... outside and invited us in! She is a fabulous baker of macaroons! Owen ( owner of Carolina Eat ) is getting the cafe ready foropening 7/3. Owen willingly cooked us this formerly ch & Sat and talked to us! Private 5* lunch and local tourinfo!!! Definitely a return for meals and to get macaroons ?Dr.Macaroon?s Bakery?- I believe will be the business name!!! Great food and gracious business owners!! Read more

Completely by accident came across this historic building and Dr. Tracey?s macaroons. Bought every flavor and hands down the... best I have eaten. The Chef ????????? made us a meal that was so healthy and delicious. I can?t wait to come back when therestaurant is officially open. What a gem in Sumter of all places. I will be back for sure. GREAT MACAROONS!!! A bonus Tracey is so nice and really wants to get to know her costumers. Her macaroons were phenomenal! So... flavorful and low key better than the ones I?ve had in France Read more

Amazing! The pastries are light and flavorful with just the right amount of filling. Many delicious choices to choose from, too!... Support this locally owned small business and stop by for a treat! Read more

Excellent customer service with supremely delicious macarons. We have tasted macarons from Europe and the US and these are top... notch. Our colleagues Deo France also tasted them and expressed how delicious they were. I highly recommend the Sidewalk Cafe. Read more

Place was a little tough to find and parking is limited. Restaurant is very nice, clean and looks to be going for a trendy vibe.... My wife and I went for lunch and the menu was very limited. You had a choice of three entrees, three appetizers, threesandwiches, three salads and three desserts. I ordered the "shrimp" and grits and my wife ordered the burger which came withsweet potato fries, not her favorite, but they don't appear to allow substitutions. The shrimp was tiny and the sweet potatofries weren't crispy at all. The shrimp and grits had a lot more pepper than my liking, to the point that it was the only flavorthat really came through. Servings were small, which wouldn't be a bad thing if the food was better. Once we finished dinner, weasked to order coffee from the attached coffee shop. The point of sale system apparently isn't attached so we had to pay and goupstairs to order. The layout of the coffee shop was nice and really is something that downtown needs. Options were, again, limited. The coffee was much better than the food. If I was just grading the coffee shop, I would give it a solid four stars. Wemay return to try the dinner menu and I will probably go back to the coffee shop, but I don't see me taking a return trip forlunch. Read more
