I hadn't been to Mon Cafe in a long time. The food is still really good, but it was SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than I... remembered. $17 for a Teriyaki chicken bowl, 2 spring rolls & a drink is way more than I'll be paying for single lunch againanytime soon. Read more

I got the steak bowl with a drink. It was delicious. I add just a little bit of the ginger sauce to give it a little more... flavor. I couldn't eat all of it so I had the rest for lunch the next day. Read more

I truly enjoy this place. Closet to Japan I can get. Almost authentic. Very good food. I would enjoy some Katsudon and some... Nato for my rice?. Mon chicken is almost like Katsudon. Read more

This place is located off of Broad St. in Sumter, it is in the same plaza as Firehouse Subs and Ultra Tan. It opens at 11 a.m.... and it offers a wide variety of Japanese food including Sushi, I ordered the California Roll. The portions were good for theprice but I found the food average. It has a dining area and the place looks very clean and maintained. Read more

Very friendly, great service, food is fairly priced. Takoyaki is passable, I've had better but not horrible by any means.... Seating was somewhat worn. Read more

The food was very good and the price was not to terrible. I would have easily went with four Stars, however the person taking... the order ruined the four Star review. My wife does not eat Chicken from any Japanese Grill. So when she ordered she orderedher usual Steak and Shrimp. I ordered chicken. When the order came out we both ended up with chicken. This in and of itself wasnot a big problem. I thought of it as a simple mistake. We informed the young woman that took the order and she immediatelybecame defensive. She ended up having the wife's order redone. We sat back down and I am guessing she did not know that wecould hear her. She went to the back and complaining about us messing up the order. She assured whoever she was speaking tothat we ordered wrong and that it was not her fault. Some other disrespectful remarks were made about us as well. I was verydisappointed with this treatment. As previously stated a simple mistake would have been fine. Venting to a colleague would havebeen fine as well so long as it was done in a respectful manner. Respectful being where we as the customers are not forced tohear the disdain that the young woman had for us. Read more
