I used to live in Toledo, Ohio where Marcos originated. While in grad school at Bowling Green State, my son and I frequented... Marcos on a weekly basis. As I transitioned and resided in various states, we always sought out Marcos restaurants as firstchoice. With this said, I recently had a bad experience at the Sumter, SC location. I was tired from working a 10 shift andwanted to bring pizza home for my son since I was too tired to cook. I ordered an extra large one topping carry out special. Ittook 15 around minutes to prepare. Once I received it, there was very little sauce and cheese and the about half of the pizzaedges didn?t have anything covering it. I am a former pizza maker and I quickly noticed it. The worker was nice enough to tomake it over , but that would mean I had to wait another 15-20 minutes. So I asked for my money back. From a customer servicestandpoint I would of offered to give a special discount for the customer since it wasn?t his fault the pizza maker made thepizza wrong. Also, I would of considered that my customer had already waited and now will have to wait again. Offering adiscount or additional item for free would have mitigated the situation, but instead my money was returned to my debit card inwhich I had only enough to purchase dinner with. That means now I had to wait 24-48 hours for the money to be placed back on mycard and I couldn?t bring home pizza to my family. I prefer the cut of my pizza slices to be somewhat equal, but other than that every was good.
Made a previous order and pizza was short on toppings. Spoke to management which stated my next purchase would be free. Upon... next purchase, I was informed that there were no credits attached to my number and there was nothing that could be done. Read more
I order quite often from here and I have three little poodles and I feed them by a fork or spoon and their Pizza their cheese... bread their chicken wings they're all their salad the family salads are absolutely wonderful and I'm just thinking aboutordering something right now I don't know if they still have brownies I saw it on their website somebody posted a picture andthey look delicious so I'm going to ask about that so if I were you I would go over there or call there or send a email andorder they have the best of everything and I've been in food for 41 years and believe me when I say I know my food I know myfood and this is absolutely bon appetit!! Ordered regular crust pepperoni and sausage pizza... picked up at the window, got it home to find a half cheese, half... pepperoni and sausage on thin crust pizza. Cannot tell you how ABSOLUTELY disappointed I am, especially with the prices of foodthese days. First time in six months I have decided to spend that money... and probably won't do it again for six more months, and definitely not at Marcos!! Read more
Let me start with I've been getting Pizzas and salads for a few years now from Marcos. As of late the last 4 have been not... good. This was the last one I just received, then they sent a replacement. I did get a 3rd replacement that I went to pick upand it wasn't jacked up like these. Furthermore, after getting 2 messed up deliveries, I had to pick one up to be editable. Yetno compensation, no free desert, bread sticks, coupon, or anything. Lastly, they NEED to shapen their cutters, I haven't had aproperly cut pizza in years. So it will be a long time before I try again with Marcos. Read more
Great first experience trying Marco's Pizza. Wasn't over cooked or too doughy. Pizza though only cheese turned out great. No... bubbles in crust like some other places I've been to where you lose on toppings due to bubbling. Cheese sticks are fantastic andthe Marco's pizza sauce cups are addictive. Also comes with a Ranch sauce which I haven't tried just yet. Over all I give a fivestar. Staff was polite and got my order correct the first time. I love the pizza here. It's the closest to NYC style pizza that I've found here in Sumter. It's a bit pricey for how much you... get but it's great for a "special" pizza night. Read more
