Oh, what a pleasant surprise! We were on a road trip from Charleston, SC (so our bar for good food is pretty high) and needed to... stop for lunch but didn't want to stop for fast food. This little gem popped up on our search and l'm so happy it did. We splitthe Empanada Platter and the Venezuelan Butcher Board and we were very happy with our selections. They have a large beverageboard and while we didn't partake, the available options were tempting. The interior is cute, very clean (including therestrooms) and well done. It was too cold out but they do have a large outdoor patio, which looks like it would be nice in thewarmer weather. If you are driving through the area and are looking for a spot that is a short distance from the highway,definitely stop and give them a try. A beautiful blend of Puerto Rican and Venezuelan dining. Never expected it coming to Summersville for a few days to relax. We... loved the owner who talked us through some perfect suggestions or the arepas and trifongo! The habanero grapefruit margarita wasa perfect sipper. I only stopped eating so that I could take some home to enjoy the next day. If your mouth likes good things,you should eat here. Read more

I was in town visiting my boyfriend and needed a ?snack? before heading to his place. I googled to see the options thinking that... yet again I would have to settle with fast food or a chain. I was super excited to come across Original Flavor and it?s glowingreviews. We settled on the Venezuelan and PuertoRican platter and were blown away. Everything was delicious. Also, from themoment we walked in we were treated with hospitality. They explained the platter and sauces and answered any questions that wehad. Great new locally owned restaurant! Wonderful Puerto Rican and Venezuelan food. Fresh flavors done right. We eat here at least... once a week! Called at 11am on Saturday morning to order a fairly large catering order to be delivered to the Summersville Brown Oaks home... for the Jim Rogers Memorial Art Exhibit. Rosa absolutely took care of everything perfectly, even on a short timeline. I highlyrecommend this new establishment on two fronts: #1 elite customer service #2 the food matches the service ?. Ok, wow. We were blown away by this place. The chef/server was extremely nice and accommodated my request for a vegetarian... arepa. Best arepa I've ever had! It was sincerely indescribably good. We were just passing through the area but I wish we werecloser. I really, really hope people choose this place over the chains in the area. They deserve your business! Read more
