Customizable gyro bowls?! Does it get any better? I ordered the chicken, and my husband ordered the combo gyro meat and chicken.... They were delicious! Thev falafel and tzatziki sauce were also great. The employee who helped us even went the extra mile andmade my bowl just how I asked. Thank you very much! I so appreciate you customizing it for me. I really hope the employees up front were given a heads up for just how crazy the rush was (BOGO bowls). They did amazing crowd... control regardless and I walked out with my bowls without a hitch. The chicken was delicious (albeit a bit on the salty side),and the toppings were nice and fresh too. The red sauce isn't as spice as I thought it would be (had halal guys in mind). goodportion for the price and promotion lol. Read more
This was my second time here. The first time was great. Everything was fresh and the manager or owner was working and very... friendly. This time I placed a pick up order on my lunch break. I picked it up and it was already to go which was nice. A girlwith brown hair handed me the order. I get home and my order is completely wrong. It had everything I didn?t ask for and almostnothing I did. I called and she answered. I politely asked to bring it back and get a new one made. Instead of apologizing sheasked me what was wrong and what all it had in it like I was lying. She then said ?well I made it myself?. I brought it back upthere?on my lunch break. She had someone else remake it and never offered an apology. Then she kept the one I returned. Mostplaces would have at least offered for me to keep it since it?s got to be thrown away?maybe. So I get back finally ready to eatand am even more disappointed. Most of the lettuce is DISGUSTING! I had to pick through it and hopefully don?t end up gettingsick. Ordered the large trays deluxe order from gyro republic sugarland. Their manager William is incredibly nice, he made sure I'm... taken care of. The food was made fresh right before my pickup time and everything was on point. He gave me more than enoughsauces that I didn't run out the quantity of meat was very generous too. I dont normally leave reviews but I had to for theirservice. I'm a loyal customer already but now I'll definitely be ordering for parties more often too. Read more
After reading some of the others' reviews, it appears that this place is either a hit or a miss - for me it was a miss. The... pros: friendly service/helpful service for a first timer, reasonable price for what they offer, wasn't super busy/packed for thelunch hour (which could be a con on their part - idk - but I like a not so packed environment). The cons: mediocre food/taste,basic quality, hard to hear in restaurant/loud-echoy environment, had to ask for certain things instead of it being suggestedlike my drink and side sauces. I have been super curious about this spot. My curiosity has been cured, and I most likely willnot be going back. I'm very picky with Mediterranean style of food. This is definitely a fast food type of place, which is notsomething I generally enjoy. I was not happy with the falafel because it wasn't thoroughly cooked/fried all the way; was stillslightly cold in the middle. My salad was good! But like I said, fast food-like, so not the freshest or purest of ingredients. Read more
I paid for two regular bowls and the picture attached is what I received. Both bowls are less than half full and one barely has... any meat. This used to be my go-to place for a quick easy meal. I'm extremely disappointed. Read more
This was our first time to visit Gyro Republic. Nathan helped us on our first trip through the line and was very understanding... and anxious to assist on this first visit. You enter the line to select your meal and the server walks with you as you walkthrough the line to select the kind of meal (pita, rice bowl, salad) and what all you want in it. We both selected bowls. Oneof us selected beef and lamb, the other falalel. We each had the opportunity to be specific with all the other toppings. RonNathan was our server, and he helped us both along the way and was very helpful for our first trip through their line. Irequested less rice and more salad, Ron was very accommodating. We got a single hummus serving to split between our servings.The hummus came with a very thick and browned pita bread. The food was all delicious, everything! And the serving size was veryplentiful. We will definitely go there again. I'll ad, as we interacted with the staff, including Ron Nathan, they were allvery polite and professional. Not always common these days. Been coming here for years, and the food is always a hit! Fast service with great fresh ingredients, and they are open late for... the late night studiers like myself! Had a bit of a issue first time in the past couple years, I mentioned it to William and hewas able to better my experience immediately, I appreciate when a manager is able to provide a quick response to feed back, thatIs what will make a business LAST!
