As a Nigerian, I was nervous coming because I compare everyone?s soup to my mothers who is an AMAZING cook. I had the Egusi and... Ogbono soup and it was really good. I ordered it spicy and it definitely was. I will definitely return now that I found arestaurant that can satisfy my Nigerian cravings. Read more

My first time eating Nigerian food, I ordered the Eguusi soup with yam fufu and wheat fufu and Jollof rice. Overall the food... was good, the meat eg: tripe was not tender, it was hard but the soup taste great, the swallow I preferred was the wheat, theJollof was nice but too much. Excellent service. I can?t wait to try something else off their menu. Read more

Checked this quaint place out one afternoon with my wife. They were great! The food is amazing. This is a great place to sit... down and enjoy. I came in with a light appetite, so I only ordered a meat pie, an order of plantains, and a small serving oftheir pepper soup. The meat pie was crisp and delicious. The meat filling was well seasoned. The pepper soup was excellent. Theflavor and spices are so well balanced and it was hot but not spicy. It was excellent and is definitely the perfect soup for acold. The plantains were fresh and deliciously cooked. My wife ordered the Egusi soup, Oxtail, and Fufu. The dishes were great. The Oxtail wonderfully seasoned and thoroughly cooked, and the Egusi soup was rich and flavorful. Read more

Had a taste for some Nigerian food for takeout so I decided to stop into this restaurant after searching on Google. I was not... disappointed. Great atmosphere and promptly greeted. Ordered Goat pepper soup and a meat pie. Food was flavorful and delicious.I will be going back soon. Can?t wait to try some other dishes. If you want some good Nigerian food I definitely recommend thisrestaurant. I can tell the food is cooked with so much love. They also listen to feedback so please leave a review about yourexperience whether good or bad. I saw a review that read that the Goat Pepper Soup did not have enough soup and to match thegoat. Now it seems that they have balanced everything out perfectly. The soup is spicy but flavorful and I?m in love. The meatpie was delicious as well. Read more

This restaurant is pleasant looking and clean on the inside. I worked in Nigeria for 2 years so it's reminiscent of the... restaurants there. One of my favorite Nigerian dishes is Pepper Soup. The version here is served with goat or tripe. I had thegoat version. The soup was flavorful and the goat was tender. I enjoyed it but my disappointment was that there was hardly anysoup to fill even a cup. The best thing about the soup is literally the soup. I would rather have more soup and less goat. Thesecond dish was Yam Porridge with Goat. Really is not porridge and more like stewed Yams. That was flavorful but there was a lotof yams and eventually it starts to get heavy and one note. Lastly I had Jollof rice with Plantains. The rice was tasty but 3scoops of it was too much. Overall I enjoyed it but I feel there are improvements. 1. The menu needs to be better aboutdescriptions for non-Nigerians. There are local names that a westerner would no know about. When we came in it was hard todecide what to order from the menu. If the descriptions would include ingredients with type of sauce, and how the protein wascooked, it would be helpful. 2. The dishes could have more diversity. For example, the yam porridge should be half the portionof what I had but with the addition of some vegetables or other Nigerian side dish. It would make it more pleasant to eatbecause of the variety. 3. Side dishes like the Jollof rice should be ordered by the scoop. I had 3 scoops and while it wastasty, it gets to be too much since it's just rice with nothing in it. I'd like to be able to order just one scoop and be donewith it. I'm interested in returning and trying their other dishes. If you've never had Nigerian food this place is a good placeto try it for the first time. Read more

OMG welcome home. This place is the bomb dot com. It was a dinner date with my brother. We ordered the #2 with goat, the #8... with mixed meat, the #11 with tilapia. We did a share feast and we got full as a tick. The leftovers were just as good.????.African food doesn't taste like American food. American food is bland compared to African food. The spices and ingredients areauthentic and fresh. This was a new welcoming experience and a place I will go regularly. ????? Thank you Sir for your warmhospitality. Read more
