The food was really good other than that the experience was horrible. The service was really UNPROFESSIONAL. The table we were... sitting at the top was peeling. The staff was just standing around staring which was really uncomfortable especially when one ofmy family members who does Parada (wears niqab) she won?t be able to eat, ?we will not be able to eat in peace?as my othersister said. there was a waiter literally standing behind us against the wall and just staring the most time which made usuncomfortable,my sister ended up and moving around the table because of it. I had an issue when we were leaving ?two of the ladywaiters were laughing in urdu saying look at these white people? I don?t think they understood that we?re Pakistanis andunderstood urdu, which was extremely rude Read more

Heard alot about this Nihari in houston. ROAD TRIP!!!! Drove to Houston and was not dissapointed. Went on a Thursday The... service was great. We were seated by the hostess and given a big jug of cold water. She was attentitive to us asked if weneeded anything else. We were therr at 11 as they opened so she did tell us it will take 15 min. We ordered 1 beef nihari 1garlic naan and 1 regular naan Nihari was delicious as is. Love the kick. I did add a little ginger and lemon and it wasperfect. Then placed order for 6 more for the road for entire family! Will be back to try the nali/lamb and paya nihari nextvisit The employee volunteered and helped me take all the food to the car and load it as well which was unexpected!! Thank youguys Made our trip a memorable one Read more

Called and made reservation still no seats when we got there. It was packed but the manager was cool and arranged the table when... insisted. LOVED THE FOOD!!! OMG had food coma after. Not spicy, just perfect. Keep it up guys!!! Washroom is always my firstthing to check out, can't say wasn't disappointed. Soap Dispenser didn't work. Dishes that they served in were left in the smallhallway between men and women restrooms so please do something about it however that won't stop us from visiting again. Read more

Today I visited Ashar's kitchen for the first time & would like to share my iftar Dinner experience. Good management, Fast... service, Great Quality & Top notch customer service! Advanced reservation was required and everything was well organized. We didnot have to wait at all and was directed to our assigned table within couple of minutes upon arrival. Buffet consisted of 11-12items. Everything was freshly cooked to perfection. Especially their Beef Nihari and & Chicken Kaleji. Chicken Tikka was wellmarinated with right amount of spice level. Among all the restaurants in Houston, Ashar's Kitchen is the closest to serving"Authentic Pakistani Cuisine". I would Highly recommend them. Read more

The food was delicious and fresh. The chicken tikka was spicy and served hot. We loved the beef nahari. It was so tender and the... sauce was just right. We enjoyed finishing our dinner with tea and rice pudding. The service was great and they were courteous.Kashif, the owner, was attentive and cheked on us. We enjoyed our dinner with the family and appreciate the hospitality. We willdefinitely refer them to friends and family and will be back. Read more

Unprofessional, managed by untrained staff with bad customer service, who are not capable of managing buffet night. No empathy.... If you would like to receive ?good? service here then you have to be either owner?s friend or know someone to pull a stringduring unmanaged Nihari Buffet night. From people cutting the Waiting lines to getting fresh naan to the Tables. It?s all just amismanaged mess with not so polite front staff. I am all for constructive criticism with positive outcome and hoping they canread and improve and wish all the best. After waiting for 1:30 hrs and seeing few people cutting the Line because they were onOwner?s priority list. I felt very disappointed. Decided to still give it a benefit of doubt. We were seated in the corner nextto the restroom. Where they keep the server cleaning cart so the door constantly kept opening to give a visual and smell of theunclean dirty bathroom alley. Got in buffet line to get the Nihari, asked server for naan and were given 3 fresh naan on tablealong with drinks. Went for second round and they were out of beef Nihar. After waiting for 10 mins we got the nihari only tofind out that in the middle of dinner, they ran out of naan in Trays in buffet line. Upon asking if they can just send naan tothe table, gentlemen rudely replied that he is ?trying? to manage the buffet line and naan will be refilled whenever ready.Peeking inside the kitchen door, buffet naan are kept in a cooler where they get soggy, remain warm but not crispy fresh. Thisis all happening while owner is enjoying fresh naan at friend?s table & given utmost customer service. If buffet is notmanageable and feels like burden then I suggest stop offering it. Nothing personal, but this is not the way to business, that?sdiscriminating and humiliating to the customers. I like to give clear and unbiased experiences so others can voice if they haveexperienced similar issues with Ashar?s. Attached are pictures of their Unclean, unmanaged establishmen Read more

Worst biryani EVERRR!! Roughly a month ago I went there tried their biryani and nihari, biryani wasn't good at all it seemed... very bad looking with normal rice nothing special, and taste was really bad. We did our best to not be biased, we talked to anmanager, he said "it's bad looking today because they ran out of supplies", I was like it's all good. But then we ordered anfull tray for our relatives and when we tasted it tasted very bad same problem like before I wouldn't recommend this place andnot to mention that service was really bad. I recommend you guys try out DDK they offer more meat and more quantity in nihariand as well as Biryani, DDK restaurants is very well made, customer service was great and restrooms were cleaned.
