Reviews for Alings Chinese Bistro in Sugar Land, TX
Nice location. The restaurant was a little dark and moody. We got there a bit early so there was plenty of seating. Hands down... the best bathroom of any restaurant I have been to in the Houston area. Big thumbs up. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken whichis my got to dish. This was top 5 for taste. My wife had a Garlic Fish which was also nice. We had a couple fruity drinks whichwere good as well. The lows were the Sweet Corn Soup which sort of just tasted like cream corn from a can and the fact thatrice had to be ordered separately. Service was good and I think the value was right on. They have a bar and a large menu, so itcould be a nice place for a big family or group meal. Read more

Outstanding, freshly-prepared, genuine Chinese cuisine food. Much, much better than the chains and franchise outlets. Out of the... way (unless you live near New Territory), but definitely worth the trip. Read more
Ambience: Clean tables with funky interior lights Food: Outstanding Indo-Chinese food! We loved everything we got. And the... quantities were very filling with enough to fill to go boxes and last you another meal! We started with schezwan fries andsteamed veggie dumplings, both were delicious. For mains, we got the manchurian veg fried rice (Slightly misleading becausethere were no actual manchurian koftas in the rice, just veggies) which was the tastiest dish hands down! The veg Hakka noodleswere yummy as well. Others in our party also got the chicken Hakka noodles as well as the chichekn schezwan rice, which werealso good. Menu is priced very sensibly, especially considering the quantities served. Polite service. Plenty of seatingalthough the place really filled up by 8.30 PM on a Friday. Aling?s definitely makes the list of must try Indo-Chineserestaurants in Houston, in the same leagues as Masala Wok. 10/10 would recommend. Read more

Alings has some of the best Chinese food I?ve eaten. Their menu has delectable delights. I always have to order the shrimp... takkies. You can pretty much call them a shrimp pakora. They?re soft and fluffy while at the same time have a nice pattyconsistency. Secondly, I think their next 2 best dishes are the chili chicken and chili beef. They will simply blow you out ofthis world. I love how the chicken is lightly fried and then covered and sauce. It gives flavor and texture to every bite. Thesame goes with the beet. You can tell they are cooked well and then covered in sauce. Another reason why I love this place somuch is because their non-alcoholic drink section is huge. There are a wide variety of drinks that anyone can choose from ifyou?re the non-alcoholic type. We got the lava and pina colada both were amazing. The staff was friendly and was very attentiveto us. They explained a lot of the menu items to us. They didn?t seem bothered by the 1000?s of questions we asked. Also, theplace was well kept and clean. You can tell they are cleaning it regularly and upkeep the maintenance. I will definitely comeback and bring more restaurant adventure goers here. Read more
Way overpriced. The stars are for the attentive service and neat restaurant. Food came in good time. Nothing special about the... taste. Passable. Not worth the high premium prices for average food. Topo Chico and lime juice from a bottle aren't Fresh limesoda. When the waiter says there's no salt/sugar options in it, you should know it ain't fresh lime. Mango drink is mango lassiwith bursting boba. Crispy is plain bland chicken wings. I'd go to KFC if I wanted that. Shrimp was barely cooked and thepepper have it a weird taste. Manchuria was passable. Szechuan chicken was more vegetables and little chicken. Fried rice wasalright. Read more
One of the best restaurant for desi Chinese in Houston. Aligns has good dark and sassy ambiance besides excellent service. My... recommendations are man chow soup, Dry Manchurian, paneer chili, chicken lollipop and sweet lava bite. Dessert is must try. Theydo serve alcohol and their mock tails are good but they didn?t stood up-to my expectation. Price range is above average bittowards expensive. Avoid visiting during weekends it has long waiting lines. Read more
