Reviews for Amicis in Suffolk, VA
Great place for unique delicious pizza and a beer. I tried a pear& gorgonzola pizza that was strangely wonderful and my daughter... got a Margherita pizza. Very casual with a rustic vibe. Family friendly and well staffed, we didn?t have to wait for our fooddespite multiple large groups. Read more
It was our first time there. First I'll say the servers are fantastic! We were greeted immediately and given our drinks right... away. We ordered the meatball appetizer to share. It came with 4 generously sized meatballs that were cooked to perfection. Forthe mains we ordered the pork belly carbonara and the shrimp in lemon cream sauce. Unfortunately the sauces in both were verythin and watery and the shrimp were a bit rubbery, but the flavors on both were good. We saw a wood fired oven-I think they'reprobably known more for the pizza. We will definitely go back and give the pizza a try. Read more
It feels like we struck gold here in Suffolk! Every restaurant we?ve eaten at has been a fantastic food experience. And lucky... for us, Amici?s was no exception! The pizza was very good. The crust was soft and delicate like fresh French bread. We eventook a ball of dough home and an extra container of the Shrimp & Grits sauce to dip (? because yummm, that?s why). That dish wasincredibly tasty too. With the spice of the andouille sausage and the smokey cheesy sauce surrounding the polenta, it was such anice savory balance, not too salty. My Eggplant Parmesan was excellent. Thick sliced eggplant, not bitter or too mushy. Lovedit. Go if you get a chance! Read more
Nice ambiance and great service. The food got mixed reviews from our party of 6. The fettuccine Alfredo was great and the... meatballs got two thumbs up. The Greek salad wasn't great with spring greens and tomatoes that weren't good. The eggplantparmesan wasn't great b/c the eggplant wasn't really cooked so it was a little tough. The pizza was ho+him. The baked ziti wasjust penne in sauce. Read more
Great customer service and even better food! Seated in minutes and Keeley checked in on us shortly after. I didn't like the... dusty chips but they were ok with me replacing it for the ravioli. The final order for the table was fried ravioli, side Caesarsalad, spaghetti and meatballs, classic white 10', and the penne a la vodka. Offered dessert but had no room left that day. Read more

The food was an experience for my mouth. Try the calamari it's to die for. The fried ravioliwas a tasty bite. The White pizza was sub par. Add more spices please. Great experience though ????. I'll give 8 out of 10 MyKitties ????. Read more
The food selection is pretty standard for an Italian restaurant in the south. The antipasto was a little lacking in originality... and covered in a cheesy facade just like my date. The brunch menu is a nice touch going for a southern style breakfast optionsand going in a complete opposite direction of an Italian restaurant just like I did when I paid for my half of the check. I'd goagain, the location is great with good patio options and try something new with a new date. Read more
