Food is always good and fresh. Never had a bad meal there. Service is getting much better.
A good diner, and the updated decor is great! I think we caught them at a very busy time, because it took a while to get... people's attention, but given the staffing issues lately that's hardly much of a knock against them. Personally I wasn't a fanof my sausage and pepper's hero, to me it doesn't usually come with marinara (and it wasn't mentioned on the menu), but thefries were great, hot, and crispy. Typical diner food. Lots to choose from on the menu. Sometimes I have a craving for chocolate pudding, which seems to be... something less and less diners have anymore. Happy to say Roxbury diner had chocolate pudding, craving satisfied! Went for lunchand cost about $43 for 2 adults, that includes 20+% tip. Read more

Had breakfast there today with my Dad. He had eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon, and toast. The eggs and has browns were... perfectly cooked and the bacon was extra extra crisp which is how he likes it! I had the oatmeal with strawberries andbagel/cream cheese on the side. Loved the oatmeal as too many places make it sweet or add something to it and I prefer it justwith fruit. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive and the owner welcomed us in a little early (we showed up at 10 to sevenas my Ma had early surgery today). My parents have been coming to Roxbury diner for almost 20 years and my dad commented thatthe gentleman (who turned out to be the owner) was always very pleasant.
