Holy cow the Sammies are huge 2 can split and fill up. The outside has a beautiful co ered patio that leads out to picnic... tables, bon fire, horse shoes and corn hole. Kareoke on fri nights till 1 am. Live bands some weekends Drink specials and dinnerspecials daily. 5 large tvs to watch games inside. Definitely the local place to be. I personally have been going to the wooden nickel for over 20 years I love their prime rib dips for the last year and a half our... family goes up there every Saturday night and usually it?s fairly good but this Saturday night July 30, 2022 absolutely terriblehad to wait 40 minutes to even get any food waitress never came to offer us anything only came by twice to see if we needed moredrinks when the food did come out the prime rib had been grilled our French dips had been sitting underneath the heat lamp for15 minutes while the other food was trying to be prepared one of our party had to wait an additional 10 minutes for her primerib and when she did receive it it was cold meanwhile the other tables closest were visited many times by the waitress andasked if there was anything they could do and apologize for the wait time we didn?t receive that treatment maybe it?s becausehalf our group was Hispanic?? All I know is I have lived here for over 30 years and we probably will never be back it?sunfortunate because when their food is good it?s great but I can?t see spending $200 to feed eight people when everything comesout 40 minutes later and all at different times very disappointing. I have eaten at the Wooden Nickel several times. The food has always been very good. A few nights ago I went there for dinner &... ordered the beer battered prawns. It took a LOT longer than customers that came in after we arrived. There's a sign explainingthat they were short handed but after 30 minutes I noticed everyone that came in after we got there were finishing their dinnersor were completely done eating & we still had to wait. When the server brought our prawns I was in shock. They were glisteningwith grease & were small, so NOT prawns...just shrimp. I couldn't possibly eat them! They were REALLY dark as if they haddeep-fried them more than once. I said nothing while I was there but put them in boxes to take home. The green salad & dark warmbread were great. I took photos of them but it's not clear enough to SEE the grease. Another problem w/the prawns is that theyhad a strong fishy odor that turned my stomach. It was stronger after I brought them home. This ruined my experience & I paidover $20 for the salad & 2 pcs of bread. Read more
Ordered California Benedict and got black Avacodos. Was told they were all like that. Why wouldn?t you just say they were bad.... I?m guessing the Integrity from the kitchen would serve something that had dropped on the floor. Yuk!! Usually pretty good allaround. Read more
Hubby had the German Sausage Mac and Cheese, I had the Reuben with House smoked turkey and corned beef, with a side of jalapeno... bacon Mac n cheese. Everything was amazing. You could taste the sausage in each bite of the Mac and Cheese. The Reuben wasreally flavorful. And the brownie and ice cream was perfect. Hope to come back soon. Read more

Great place! Everything we have ate there has been on point! Prime rib dinner was delicious.
