I am not happy to leave this review. First, I'd like to say that the servers were 5/5 stars. Absolutely amazing service. The... drinks were acceptable, but the food was embarrassing. The street corn was $13. $13 for probably previously frozen yellow cornon the cob. For $6, you can have the best street corn I've ever tasted down the way at Roadside Tacos. The tacos my husbandordered had the same sauce on them and was unimpressed. The guacamole had the consistency of baby food. I was so disappointed inthis experience. If you're coming for tequila shots and a game, you're in luck, but please avoid the food. Read more

The service and atmosphere were excellent. Server was funny and knowledgeable without being over bearing. Had sports on the TV... and good music playing. Wasn't crowded for a Sunday evening which is perfect. The only thing to improve were the chicken andpork tacos could have a little more seasoning but overall I would come back again! Read more

On a quiet Monday night, my wife and I, along with her sister and her sister's husband decided to give Jalapeno Pete's a... try. Positioned on Ventura Blvd, the interior vibes are warm and vibrant, with roll-up doors that give the establishment apleasant and welcoming, open-air feel. One con for this is traffic noise ? especially excessively loud sports cars thatfrequently startled us mid-conversation. Jalapeno Pete's is positioned across from a commercial parking lot as well, so don'texpect any scenery if you decide to dine outdoors. The food was well cooked, quickly delivered, and most importantly, hot. Wefirst received chips and salsa, which had a rich, smokey flavor that was neither too bland, nor offensively spicy ? delicious! Ihad Pete's Burrito with carne asada. It was flavorful and well portioned. We also got wings, asada fries, tacos, and quesadillas? all of which were rich with flavor and hot out the kitchen. Our only disappointment with food was that they were out of cornso we couldn't try their Street Corn. Drinks ? going to go off of the rest of my party's input here as I was DD that night.Past 9pm almost all drinks are buy one get one free. This means 9p+ is the only time you should be buying drinks at the priceson the menu... Unless of course you've got Jeffrey Bezos money. Beer selection is minimal, but fair ? they'll have somethingyou'll definitely be happy with, even if they don't carry your go-to. As for margaritas, the girls said they were okay ? theydid not taste fresh, most likely made with mixers that leave a processed aftertaste. Unfortunately they were out of Watermelonso they were unable to try that one. The cactus margarita was terribly sweet (as warned by our waitress) ? it could (and should)be balanced out a bit as the sweetness was overbearing on the flavor. Service is Pete's biggest flaw in my personal opinion. Our waitress seemed to be the only staff taking orders and checking up on customers throughout the entire dining Read more

The menu was limited but the food was good. The drinks were exxxxxpensive, so come during a happy hour. We paid $51 for 3... margaritas. Staff was all good vibes, and we were seated with no problem. Read more

Jalapeños Pete is definitely a happening place. Even though there are several other Mexican restaurants near by, this place was... busy. They have indoor and outdoor dining. Given the rising numbers we took the outdoor seats in the corner. The service wasnice and friendly. The restaurant has a lot of TV so you can watch sports while enjoying your dinner. They have limited menu andare known for their street tacos. Each tacos are about $3 so you can mix and match to try different ones. We got the Nachoswithout chicken. The food was OK. The tacos could use some more flavor and the Nachos were filled with lot of blackbeans. Overall, the experience was good. Read more

Just stopped in for drinks. By the looks of it, the crowd is definitely here for the food. Not the best drink selection, the... sangria tasted like Welch's juice. The cocktails that are meant to be bitter are still sweet. Not an impressive beer selectioneither. We did order a dessert considering we ate before our visit. A churro waffle ice cream sandwich. The food seems veryimpressive. DOG FRIENDLY! Read more
