I was down in Jupiter, FL this past weekend visiting family and discovered this place. I was skeptical at first as I've had many... so-called Philly Cheesesteaks out side of Philadelphia. They have all fallen way short of anything that remotely resembled acheesesteak. Anyone from the Philadelphia area knows what I'm talking about. So I ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions andmushrooms as that is my standard go-to at home. When I took that first bite, it felt like I was back in Philly. They nailedit!! Even the roll tasted like the signature cheesesteak roll that you find at any cheesesteak place. I cant wait to go backand try the cheese steak with lump lobster meet. Philly Down South is about as genuine as you can get when it comes to gettingwhat a Philly cheesesteak tastes like outside of the Philadelphia area. Well done!!! Read more

Very close to an authentic Philly Cheesesteak. The roll was a little soft and I substituted the provolone for American. ... However, Good job! Read more

We are from the Philadelphia suburbs and have been wanting to check this place out for awhile since we visit the area... frequently, and now that the tiki bar opened we had the perfect reason to stop in. Great variety of Philly style cheesesteaksthat reflected the taste and style we are accustomed to. Took our two kids and the ambiance was a family friendly lowkey chillwith a lighted hut and impeccable grass carpet and full service bar. Service was on par and food above expectations. Will be aregular stop on our annual visits! Read more

I've been here for dinner four times now. Every time it is excellent and everyone we've brought here absolutely loves it. Nice... atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious well spiced food, and good prices. This restaurant is in the Elliott Museum so forlunch you can enter through the museum. But at dinnertime the museum is closed so you have to enter through the back parkinglot. You'll see a sign on the door. It's well worth it and so terrific, we will be back often. Read more

The Elliot Museum is a fun place to spend the day and an additional treat is the Philly Down South Cafe located on he second... floor. It is bright and open with interesting antique clocks decorating the walls. This is not your typical ?food court? thatyou would expect. It?s a very nice restaurant with a wide beer selection and great food choices. I really like their RibeyeSteak sandwich. So far we have only been there for lunch, but plan to return to try dinner. They serve dinner on Friday andSaturday nights. You just tell the front desk that you are there just to eat upstairs and there is no fee to enter. If you arein a hurry, they have a food truck located in the parking lot for quick takeout. Read more
