My family and I stopped here on Oct 8, 2022, at 4pm to have dinner. The sign at the door stated seat yourself, which we did. We... sat at a booth and waited 15 minutes with menus open for someone to come to our table. Working in the section was a blond femaleserver. We watched her bring drinks to tables and check on her customers. She then proceeded to wipe down tables. What was mostshocking was she started folding a plastic tablecloth right next to our table. She never acknowledged us even though we waved ather. She deliberately kept her back to us and ignored us. I even went up to the bar, where four female servers were standingbehind, and they pointedly ignored me. After 30 minutes, we left. The only reason I could think my family was ignored was thatwe are an Asian family. I used to be a server and worked in the restaurant business, and I know when a place is busy and aserver is in the weeds. This was not the case here. If a server could wipe down tables leisurely and take time to fold a plastictablecloth, she wasn't too busy to say "hi" or "someone will be with you soon." I could only say that it was RACISM that we werenot waited on or acknowledged, especially when I went to the bar to ask for service. Read more

Loved the atmosphere but come prepared to spend some time, it was crowded. Everything looked clean, and we were greeted pretty... quickly. Chicken finger platter was good however I had the Texas burger. It was cooked exactly how I ordered but came withonions which I had asked be left off. Pointing this out to the server did not help. She literally stared at me. I asked if theycould simply remove the onions (there was a bunch) and replace the cheese and BBQ sauce that would be lost when the onions weretaken off. Meat and Texas toast bun were fine to be reused. Blink, blink, she just stood there. I asked for silverware and didit myself. Then I ate my almost cheese less, sauce less burger which I now realize was not seasoned either. Stopped for an oil change a couple miles down the block and waited it out at Charlie's. It's definitely the neighborhood... hangout. Great atmosphere and decor. Monster TV in the dining area, and plenty of others throughout. Must make for a great NFLSunday. I had the French Dip. They don't bake the sandwich so it came out soft and mushy instead of nice and crunchy, and I'mpretty sure they used cheesesteak meat for the French dip and not roast beef. The meat wasn't shaved, a little thicker than whatyou might expect. It was ok. The tater tots were fine. Plenty of beer to choose from. I had the Cool Man Burger with an extra Patty added on a Monday night! I also ordered extra blue cheese and extra blackened only... the waitress forgot to tell me that was an extra charge! I ordered it medium rare so that would be pink inside but when Ifinally got it, it was raw! I had to send it back! Also was not super busy I had to continually wait for my waitress to come byand stick my hand out to stop her. Haven't been here in a while, now I remember why! Website going to grow especially we have been going to Charlie's at its previous location and this location. Moved away and... coming back to visit could not think of any other place we'd rather be to have a celebration of a birthday family get togethersuper bowl Sunday and Valentine's day. Such a cool place with EXCELLENT FOOD! So many neighborhood bar and grills try and be cool, relatable, fun but most don?t... really hit the target. Charlie?s is it!!!! I stopped by to have lunch on 11-2. I have driven by here so many times. So I decided to check it out. I had the potato skins.... They were excellent. The atmosphere inside is welcoming and warm. We had a great time at Charlie's this past weekend! It was so nice to see a live band playing. We ordered the Panko crusted fish... bites, a fish & shrimp platter & chicken wings. We were drinking Heineken & White Claws, so I can't comment on the drinks. Theywere pretty busy so we were very impressed with how hot, crispy & delicious our food was, giving that service & food have beenlacking at a lot of restaurants, lately, with the employee shortage. Our waitress was very attentive- kept the drinks comingeven, though she was very busy! The live band was great too. Lots of good ol' southern rock! We will definitely be back! Read more
