I was surprised to scroll down and see some low reviews. Granted, everyone's experiences are different, but our family has... loved Sanfo for years. We have ordered takeout countless times, especially through the bleak covid period, and have never beendisappointed. The service has always been good, the food has always been delicious, and the portion sizes have always been morethan sufficient -- usually getting two full meals out of every order. Again, this is after ordering from the original Sanfo onMountain Road dozens of times -- not one single negative experience. We have often recommended Sanfo to others, and willcontinue to do so. I strongly believe and bet money on ..that the food they are serving today is pre COVID. I also believe it was left in the... freezer and it had a couple of defrosts and refreezes along the way. I honestly can eat almost anything but this was justhorrible. The wonton soup had a strange taste and figured (actually hoping it was just curry). Not to mention the awful colorit gave . The second wonton I ate was honest to God rancid. I kid you not. I couldn?t spit it out fast enough The rice wasold and chewy and had no flavor at all . Not only that the peas were wrinkly. Shriveled wrinkly peas! Which led me to believeit was old!! The crispy noodles for the soup had a strange stale oily flavor and turned gummy while chewing. The egg roll had a horrible odor and strange color not to mention the wrapper was for sure freezer burned. I also had the pepper steak andonions. The sauce had a strange flavor and the steak was really slimy. But at least the peppers and onions were fresh. Ireally hate the fact that I had to be so harsh but it was truly the worst of the worst. I ordered wonton soups, egg rolls, general Tso, chicken and broccoli and a lo mein. I normally wouldn?t bother with an review... but honestly it sucks to pay for poor value. Every single thing I ordered was bland. The wonton soups tasted like a bowl of hotwater and the egg rolls eh. They didn?t give me the chicken broccoli I ordered and incorrectly gave me an additional lo mein.Also bland. Overall, will PASS in the future. Read more
They have refrigerated Calpico in Vermont. That alone is worth 5 stars.
