Nice little independent restaurant with fresh menu, breakfast and lunch

JJ'S eatry has such a friendly ambience, and they were closed during the lockdown recently and I was scared they might not open... again, but thank heavens it did open again, and we went there yesterday. The reviews are quite unreasonable for this restaurant. The prices and food were excellent. The restaurant is extremely clean... and there were small touches that most restaurants don't even do. They kept there milk for coffee in the fridge, not warm on thetable like most places. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The coffee is good and bottomless. The portions were alsonice and large. I hope this location is successful because it's the least greasy breakfast place I've been to. The atmospherehere is better than any other local breakfast restaurant, so I have no idea why the reviews are so low. Read more

In 1993 my dad promised to take me to a Blue Jays World Series game one weekend. Then he never showed up. That was the most... disappointed I'd ever been in my life... until I ordered breakfast from JJ's Stoney Creek Eatery. I ordered the "Hungry ManBreakfast" $15.99 for 3 medium eggs, 2 thin strips of bacon, 2 little sausages and a single sliver of ham. The last time I wasthis disappointed with a breakfast was when another restaurant put overeasy eggs on my Eggs Benedict. I ate at JJ's for thefirst time with my wife and small son, it was over priced for what we got, with tip it cost us almost $70 for breakfast. 2 starsfor service and decor. Went here for a birthday brunch for my wife. She had a the breakfast with sausages. Home fries were seasoned really well and... the sausages were good. Her poached eggs were good as well except they came in a small bowl that still had some water in it. Adab or two of a napkin fixed that up. I had the banquet burger which was good. The fries were excellent. Nice and crispy andthe gravy was great. Will definitely go back. Read more
