My husband & I tried Mike's today & loved it. We had a hamburger, which we shared, & the lady even cut it in half for us without... even asking. The burger was homemade & delicious & not salty like some burgers can be plus it was Halal. We did tell her we weregoing to share it. It was so nice of her. Ordered from here tonight. The Haddock 2 piece fish and chips with Gravy was amazing!! The fish batter was cooked nice and... crispy, the fish nice and tender, the fries were golden and fresh, and the gravy was sooo good! I'd definitely order from hereagain!! This spot is pretty good for the fish and chips. We did the Haddock and Cod. The fish tasted fresh and the thick cut fries were... great. It is a little on the pricey end but you get a lot of food. I just wish the tartar sauce was homemade, they give you thepackets. It's worth checking out. Read more

Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy! Tried Captain Mike's fish and chips joint today-totally had one of my "out of the blue" cravings and... this place hit the spot. I ordered the Haddock-one piece, with fries and I loved it. The piece of fish itself is fresh with anice crisp to the batter. Around $15.00. The price was average. They also offer a different variety of items on the menu-OnionRings, poutine, Hamburgers etc etc. I would say the place has more of a take-out vibe to it, but you can choose to eat there ifyou wish. Calamari was a nice mix of rings and mini squids. Rings weren't as crispy so you got both styles of calamari in the order. Fish... batter was nice and crispy. Really enjoyed my meal and the people working when I went in were so friendly. Read more

Decided to have Fish this evening and came across Captain Mikes.... We ordered the Bassa and Halibut dinners and the calamari... and jalapeños shrimp. And the young one had chicken nuggets with fries I?m a fan ????????????.... There a few minor thingsthat could be fixed calamari could of been crispier and the same with the shrimp the jalapeño sauce I am kinda on the fencewith but the Bassa and Halibut dinners were fried to perfection The wedges I enjoyed I?m just a little salty over the fact thatthe tartar sauce came in packages! We just had a takeout Halibut Family Meal. Loved it! Nicely packaged so fries stayed crispy. The Halibut was top notch with nice... light batter. Cooked to perfection, flaky and not oily.
