My 1st visit... Ok I had the FRESH PRINCE....sorta like a Philly but with the famous Jack Fruit. It had a good taste but was... really oily, unfortunately more than a real Philly. Located inside Caribbean restaurant ???????? It was my first time visiting and the customer service was awesome. I order the... Marley fries ..they were fresh to order and very delicious. Tried this place for the first time and while walking in the ambience and energy is not very inviting. I was barely greeted by... the owner. He seemed to be tired, annoyed, or both. I mentioned to him it was my first time and he offered some of the topsellers to me. I opted in for the fresh prince and Marley fries spent around $35 which isn?t worth the price considering theportions. The food was mediocre nothing really to rave about . The peppers and onions on the Marley fries were cut big and notcooked down enough. It was poorly distributed. All the cheese and guac were at the bottom (I would like to get flavor in everybite) also, the fries Needs more seasoning. The fresh prince was good. Jackfruit was tender. I usually don?t leave negative reviews for black owned businesses, but this couldn?t go unsaid. I drove 20min to visit Planted... Express for the first time today. There?s no signage on the outside of the building stating that it?s Planted Express, so Idrove around in circles for 10min before calling & learning from the voicemail that they?re actually called Food King. Onceinside, there was no air, no seating, and their were 3 kids (by the looks under 10) all in the back kitchen, as well as the manmaking the food & a lady- all without a hair net in sight. While ordering my food, one of the little girls literally put herfoot on top of the counter. For a sandwich & a side salad, my order totaled right under $20. I didn?t receive change bc theyclaimed they didn?t have change. It took an additional 30min to make (there were two people in front of me who by the looksdidn?t have large orders). The side salad was a mess and the lettuce was old. The texture of the bbq jackfruit sandwich Iordered tasted nothing like pulled chicken. I?ve eaten at vegan restaurants before, so I?m aware of how it?s supposed to taste.Overall the unprofessionalism was at an all time high & I definitely won?t be returning. Read more
I was sketchy at first because good vegan wings are hard to come by.. But baybaaay when I tell you these wing hitt!! They were... crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and sauce was top tier? the whole menu is delicious.! the owner is a nice dude. ordering ahead is hit or miss. only order if you're not in a rush
