I ordered one thing and received another (I wasn't upset, but curry goat sounds nothing like oxtail). Walked in other than a... couple finishing their meal me and my business partner were the only people there. We indicated this was our first visit. Mybusiness partner is Jamaican and patois is natural for him. At any rate the guy acted as if we annoyed him, by inquiring aboutthe food on the serving line. Be that as it may, the oxtails we're OUT FREAKING STANDING! I have been in many hoodrat holes inthe wall dinning establishments with bad attitudes and received great food. Out first time here, Food presentation wasn?t to good. Curry chicken was ok, just a little more spicy than i?m use too. I?m a... huge fan of cabbage and mac n cheese. VERY DISAPPOINTED I SPENT $80.79 on doordash two of my items I paid for I didn?t even get then my oxtail tastes like it was... made yesterday and served today hard& rubbery I got ?seasoned string beans ?so bland I just couldn?t eat them no matter how muchsalt I added my homegirl lemonade had so much sugar even after we split it between 4of us it was too too sweet ! & my collardswere at practically raw I couldn?t chew them they were still bitter ???????????This location gonna bring the rating down Read more

This a well hidden Jem in Stockbridge!! This place was clean and service impeccable. She let us sample almost everything!!! We... went with the oxtails rice and peas smothered in brown stew gravy plantains cabbage and a side of jerk chicken and Mac andcheese. Everything bite was a taste of food heaven. This place was ?ok?. The dining area and the area behind the counter was immaculate! It?s spacious, well-lit/bright and just... feels very welcoming. I ordered oxtails, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potatoes. The oxtail portions were a great size for aplate that?s around $18.00 (with tax). The potatoes were big and DRY... and way less flavorful than expected. The Mac and cheeselooks appetizing because of the melted cheese on top but it only blanketed a soupy/ unseasoned disappointment underneath. Thestaff I encountered were very kind and friendly. Had jerk chicken, cabbage, squash/zucchini, yellow rice with a couple of plantains. It was tasty but the portion of vegetables... was not worth $15. I got the large which consisted of two leg quarters. My only complaint is I expected a bigger veggie portionas most of the Caribbean restaurants do give you much more. I will say I visited about an hour before closing which may havecaused this decrease. I'll try them again but not anytime soon. Read more
