Food at JJ's is always bomb but this location is better than the one by my house, I was riding through and decided to order... online from them. It's right beside raceway, love the fact you do not have to ask for extra condiments including the specialseason, everything is accessible to you, the air was pumping and it was clean. I love the food! A little.crowded at times, but I guess that lends to it being a good restaurant. The fish, shrimp, chicken and... other food items are very tasty. The beverages are good and you can get however many condiments you need located at a table nearthe door. Read more
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Look at these little pieces of shrimp with the batter falling off of them. The fish was cooked... way too hard. Literally can taste no meat, just skin. Disgusting! Plus, they messed up our order, even though they repeated theorder back correctly over the phone. Avoid this place at all costs. I called my order in at 9:59 the lady took my order over the phone an said it will be up 10to 15min I got there an waited for... 30mins almost closing this time even tho I called my order in 20min before I got home an this is what I got my order wascompletely WRONG!!!!!!!!! I order 3piece fish with shrimp an for my side mac an cheese bite they gave me one full fish an burnthalf fish an no shrimps with fries an charge me extra for cheese bites in the side I will never come back! I travel some waysjust to get me some jjs an I spent all this money just to receive not even full 3piece fish ! This place used to be a Wendy's a few years ago before the new Wendy's was built next to the RaceWay that J&J Fish & Chicken is... now in. J&J is a little pricey, but then again, everything is getting more expensive thanks to rampant inflation and the supplychain issues. I gotta say though, their food is worth the money. Their fries are good and their fish is fine, but their chickenis... AMAZING. Seriously, I've never had chicken tenders this moist and, well, tender. And my compliments to E'van's Bake Shop,who makes the desserts they sell in J&J. Overall, J&J Fish & Chicken ain't bad. Read more
My mom stopped here on her way to my house because in the past the food was pretty good. My chicken breast were beyond burnt to... the point where I picked them up before even trying to break a piece they started crumbling in the plate, the fries were coldand also tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I couldn’t even eat the middle parts of the chicken it was so hard andcrunchy never had chicken that hard in my life. Called the store and after talking to the girl she didn’t care and handed thephone to a guy who asked again what’s going on with my food when I told him he literally laughed, and told me to bring it backwith receipt. Mind you I don’t even live out near this restaurant, so they didn’t care and thought it was funny. Y'all....... I don't know why God decided to come down and season that chicken himself. He had to have did it himself. It had to... be God. I mean man, the chicken was seasoned from the inside out. Like it had been marinated in gods hands chile! I wanted to goback and order another 6 piece. Even the fish was perfectly seasoned! Now I see why my brother comes to this location literallyevery single time he's in town. Which is every weekend. This location does it best! Hands down. The blueberry lemonade isamazing too. My fav location is the one on Candler Rd, but since I live near Forest Park, I go to the one on Old Dixie. Last weekend I... ordered the 10.99 whiting combo. The fish looked fresh and was cooked perfectly. Fast forward to tonight, I was in Stockbridge,so I stopped by the one in that area. I told the guy at the window I wanted the fish combo and he had a slight attitude tellingme it's called the dinner. I wanted the 12.99 combo but he said it's a dinner not combo. I looked at the receipt and I wascharged 8.99. When I got my plate the fish was thin and rubbery. I was disappointed. I also purchased a price of caramelcake...just a suggestion...please put a date on the container because the cake looked dry and it wasn't good and seems to have aspoiled smell. 4.50 is pricey for a nasty piece of dry crumbly cake.
