What a hidden gem! Roscoe was an amazing host. We went with the all-you-can-eat option, and he absolutely hooked it up! Each... meal came with a salad, any and all the meats/sides/desserts that we wanted. Meat options included meatloaf, pulled pork,roasted chicken, a spicy creole roasted chicken, meatballs, roasted beef tips, roasted pork loins, and a chicken and noodledish. Sides included cornbread stuffing, sweet potato, scalloped potato, green beans, red beans, corn, baked beans, and cornbread muffins. Dessert was a trio of homemade cakes: a lemon cake with caramel sauce, a strawberry cake, and a chocolate/cherrycake. Everything was phenomenal. The service was top notch as well. We got to talk with the owner, hear about the history ofthe business, the recipes, etc. We even got to bring home probably two pounds of leftovers. The cakes alone were worth theprice of the meal. The several pounds of meat and sides were only a bonus. An amazingly delicious bonus. Overall, this might bethe most bang for buck I?ve ever seen at a restaurant. Do yourself a favor and come check it out. Give a Monday or Tuesdaynight a shot when they?re slower than the weekend crowds, and you can have an awesome in-depth experience with the owner. Theyeven serve breakfast now, so we?ll be back soon to give a big ole southern breakfast a shot! At last, a place in Stillwater serving home cooked meat and 3 style that's not a steakhouse. Portions were very filling and the... staff friendly. Lots of good choices to pick from covering a variety of tastes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Drove bythis place a hundred times and never knew it existed until seeing it pop up on Google Maps. Oddly beef items cost more thanother meats. I'll definitely be back. Welcome to town! Read more
Went for lunch on Veterans Day, if you want a home cooked selection (different day to day and dinner to lunch) that does NOT... taste like fast food or eating out GO HERE!! The food was 10/10, limited selections because what they do they do right. Smallspace so be patient, but service was top notch. Roscoe was able to visit every table and thank us for coming. I will bebringing people back to eat, can't wait to try Thursday/Friday seafood night. P.S. save room for desert. ???? Read more
