Really good food. Must try if you haven't been. Our server was really good. We had a sampler platter to try everything and... that's the way to go if you haven't been before or your first time trying polish food. Get the city chicken which is actuallypork awesome flavor moist melt in your mouth. The place could use a little up lift paint was cracking and drop ceiling wasstained. Chicken noodle soup broth was good but noodles were not and there was no actual chicken in it not even a tiny littlepiece. Clam chower was good. Crepes were good but only sweet kind. I suggest making savory ones as well. We will definitely beback to try more items on the menu. Read more

August 2022 - brought two of my kids out to dinner. They both had pickle soup and they are under 7. They loved the soup. I... ordered the Polish Stew (pictured) and it was awesome. Very good. I am going to be selfish and wish the bowl was bigger. April2022 - came here after church with my 3 daughters and wife. Food was great! Wife and I ordered the Lakeside combo (pictured).Always good and has one of everything. Best polish food in the area! Staff is always great with the family. 4 yr old loves thepickle soup. February 2021 - Awesome polish food! You have to try the city chicken. Read more

I absolutely love this place. Its a hidden gem if you are looking for good polish food. Not fancy by any means, but very good... food. They even offer a bowl of soup for $1 more if you get an entree. Their soup is great as well. They make their own citychicken in house and is very, very tasty. Anytime im looking for polish comfort food, this is one of my go to spots. Read more

First visit - food is great! I thought the stuffed cabbage was GREAT! Potato pierogis great also. Potato pancakes and crepe with... apples tasted like you'd expect but you can't do much with them. Not pictured is an omelet that was good and good portions. Acouple weeks later on a sunday,, I picked up a quart of Czernina for my mom who was sick. She loved it! She says that it wassweet and that's how she liked it. Looking forward to going back! Service fast and friendly. I saw reviews complaining of thedecor and actually knocking Lakeside down a rating. Get a life people!!! The place is not dirty. Table, chairs, utensils, etcare all clean. Staff, friendly. They don't make you take a chair or a light fixture home ffs. If you're going to be triggered bythe dated decor, stay home. Or carryout. And make sure you do curbside because god forbid ypu step inside ???? Read more

We went to Lakeside Family restaurant because we heard from others it was great polish food. People were right as the food was... very tasty and good! I had the dill pickle soup and a polish combo (sausage, pierogi, kraut, and city chicken). All the foodhad great flavor and was delish! On the other hand, what wasn?t nice was the inside of the restaurant. The paint on the wallswas peeling and the place had an old building vibe. To sum up, food was a 5 (authentic great tasting polish food) and theinside of restaurant was a 2. Overall a 3.5 for me and next time I would just get carryout. Read more

If you like Polish food you have to try this place. I see why they were named best Polish restaurant so many times. I had the... meatlovers omelet and the Dill Pickle soup. Both were unusual and excellent. The omelette has the usual sausage with DearbornHam and (get this) kielbasa. In addition to adding great flavor the texture was also a pleasant surprise. For the soup, thinkof potato soup with small slices of dill pickle dropped in. Just enough to taste it but not at all overpowering. Read more
