The staff absolutely ruined my birthday dinner! The hostess was complaining about other customers to us, our waitress was very... rude, the manager was standing around while ordering the servers to ?make it happen?, and with 3 children we were sat in the barsection to wait 2 1/2 hours before seeing our food. We dined at Applebee's on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights and the waiter was so patient and friendly! It was five of us and he... remembered all of our orders without writing anything down. Okay so listen my son birthday was august 24th and he turned 4 years old and his favorite food is ?spenna dip? which is... spinach dip. So I called a day before and asked can they accommodate a party of 15. They said yes. When we got there it was kidseverywhere and I didn?t even know how many we had in our party so far, so when the first waitress came over, she was mad and hada attitude and WALKED AWAY. SO I calmly asked for the manger to my surprise the manger was on the line cooking because they wereshort staff. So another manger walked up and I said listen my son is 4 and it?s a lot of kids it?s about 16 of us and I needsomeone with patience and a good attitude and I promise, We will make sure good when we tip more den enough. Great food and waitress. However the hostess greeted us with a blank stare and waited for us to say something to him then at the... end of our dinner as we're going to leave asks if we're done as we're getting up from the table and then when we said yesproceeds to ask us for the sauce cups and little dishes that are left and the kids menu (I should get a discount for bussing mytable) what is his job because he definitely isn't being a hostess at least not a good one.
