Reviews for Tamarind Indian Cuisine in Sterling, VA
We ordered chicken biryani medium spicy, and look at the amount of green chillies it had. We had to handpick and keep them... aside. When we asked the server about it, he said I can see green chillies but I dont know, it was made by chef!!!!!! Read more
I just ordered the tiki marsala there was literally five small pieces of chicken. It was 80% sauce plus we ordered the butter... chicken and there was two pieces of chicken and 80% sauce this place is good but they are ripping you off with quality I do notrecommend it if you were extremely hungry Read more
Food was not bad except for the noodles which was too oily. Ordered an IPA but the nice waitress tried her best and came back... and said they're out of all the draft beers. So I ordered a double bourbon and she came back with what looked like a single. Idon't blame her, this is the issue with ordering drinks at Indian restaurants. They don't know pour measures. Plus I got chargeda lot more than what was on the menu. I didn't want to stress her out - she was super nice. We just paid and left. Read more
We a decent experience at Tamarind for dinner. The starters were good but the main course which was chicken tikka masala was... really tangy where you could clearly feel tomato purée was used or the prep was pre made. Read more
Visited the place in last week for lunch. Ordered both Veg and Non Veg. Appetizers were really good. Little oily but... tasty. Veg dish (Malai Kofta) was good. Chicken dish was below average. Chicken was not fresh. Read more

Over all the restaurant is great, well priced and nice for Indian food!!! Read more
This is the best local Indian restaurant we've tried! There are a few restaurants closer, but its worth the extra 10 minute... drive to this place. Beware... the medium level is still pretty spicy. I've been eating Indian food since I was a kid and mymouth was on fire. But it was still delicious! And the portions are bigger than anywhere else. You basically get two meals forone. We got the Tikka and the Korma and both sauces had good flavor. My husband and I always order samosas when we try a newIndian restaurant (that's how we judge if it's going to be good or not) and they were perfectly cooked! We'll definitely be back:) Read more
Best chicken 65 and pepper chicken we had in a while. Love their limited lunch menu. Butter chicken was awesome.
