Reviews for Emilio's Brick Oven Pizza in Sterling, VA
Ordered well done, cut in 6ths. Arrived undercooked and overcut. Roasted red peppers are not roasted properly (???? idk... probably straight out of the jar; too much moisture) and cut incorrectly. Anchovies were few and far in between, maybe2 Spinach and pepperoni was at least well incorporated. Generally this is pizza soup. The dough didn't rise long enough, orwas under developed. The cheese was not low moisture. 2 pizzas, delivered with tip: $70. At least there's a redeeming qualityin: this will finish cooking upon reheating. I'll just take the peppers off, cut them properly, roast them myself, re-shred thecheese, and finish cooking the pizza in the oven. Read more
Not real Neopolitan stylr pizza. It was really really bad. I also ordered fresh Mozz salad and it wasnt fresh Mozz it was... sliced package cheese the crust of the pizza was so greasy amd they put it on thid wood wire tray which doesnt seem sanitary Read more

My family and I have been going to Emilio's since I was a kid for the pizza and the service. The pizza has always been... constantly great with a focus on high quality products and technique. The Roma and their white are by far the best IMHO.Furthermore, Emilio and his family have always made a point to say hello, always accommodating, friendly and professional. Thereis a reason that they have a loyal customer base. In an age, where mom and pop shops are getting replaced by chains, Emilio'sstill remains on top! Read more
Emilio's never disappoints! For more than 20 years this is our favorite pizza spot. It's the only pizza my 17 year old will... eat. We always get the Julian...the combination of the small ground sausage, with the pepperoni, super thin red onion, and thesweet tomatoes is pure perfection! The ONLY reason I couldn't put -1 on the review is because it was not an option. This pizza place is the most horrible pizza... place I have ever tasted in the Northern VA area. The food was clearly either boxed or canned. My family and I ordered the Soupof the Day, which was Chicken Noodle soup, Popcorn Shrimp, and Roma pie. The Chicken Noodle soup was canned from Progresso butSTILL tasteless, the Popcorn Shrimp was TASTELESS and horrible, and the pizza was the WORSE I have tasted from Northern VA. Oh man... great awesome artisan rustic pizza. The pizza is actually baked in a brick oven. ?? The crust, the marinara, the... cheese and ingredients are top notch. ???????? UPDATE: It's unfortunate but I have decided to drop my rating from 5 to 3 stars ?. It is obvious that the management or staff... making the pizza have changed hands over the past 6 months. These are not the same pizzas that I based my initial review andrating on. From the taste and texture of the crust, the rich tomato sauce, and overall flavor of the ingredients... it's gone.This is sad. PAST REVIEW: I've posted plenty of high reviews for great pizza joints, but the quality of Emilio's pizzas are atanother level. If the ratings went up to 10 stars, I would give it. My go to is the Basil Margarita (with only half mushroomssince not everyone's a fan) and the Julian (sausage, pepperoni, red onions). Right away you can tell the ingredients are gradeA. And since the pizza isn't so greasy or salty, you can actually taste the subtle sweetness of the tomatoes and mozzarella. Myonly disappoint is that I just recently discovered Emilio's a month ago.
