Food was okay, not great. We were hoping for something spectacular, after all it's Steinhatchee. This was nothing different... from what we can get at any old seafood restaurant. We had a beautiful view of the water. Until the kids at the table next toours started running around their table smacking each other, it was a nice atmosphere. They left after about 10 minutes of that.We decided to order the seafood platter which was $29. It came with 1 side and (1) salad bar, rolls or hush puppies. We aren'tbig eaters so we decided to share the platter. (The server didn't ask if we wanted rolls or hush puppies). We were told wecannot share the salad bar, which I expected. I'm glad we didn't buy two dinners. It would not have been worth $60 in myopinion. Not a lot of food for the money. About 5 oysters, three small pieces of fish, 6 shrimp maybe, and a lot of tinyscallops. Two hush puppies. Oh and a deviled crab that neither of us liked. I guess that the salad bar makes up for what theycharge. We'd rather not have a salad bar. The scallops were the real things but very small. The fish was thin and unknown, notflavorful but bland. I was hoping for gulf shrimp but nope it was butterfly shrimp similar to frozen. When we finished eatingwe walked around and noticed a new place next door. Steinhatchee Marina at Deadman Bay. Maybe we should had given them a try.We would have rather had something fresh, unusual and fun. We love the Steinhatchee area and will be back. Next time we will dosome research before we come. Someone please point us in the right direction. Where do you go for awesome fresh seafood? LargeGulf Shrimp? Large Scallops? Grouper? Reds? Read more

This restaurant is located on the water, so it is very pretty. However, expect a 45-min-2-hour wait for your table at dinner... time. Expect them to stop taking names for tables at around 8 pm because of short staff. The salad bar is the best thing at therestaurant. By the time you are through the 2-hour wait, you will gorge yourself on the salad bar and probably won't be hungryfor dinner (what happened to me). We ordered blackened grouper (fresh that day) - it was cooked and seasoned well. My husbandhad a combination dinner (upcharge because he chose shrimp 2 ways). Some of the blackened shrimp were dry. Fried chicken wasgreat though. The kid's meal - fish sticks - great quality. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a nice experienceoverall. Read more

Roy?s food was really good and probably worth the extraordinary wait time. We had a party of 8 and waited an hour and 20 minutes... to be sat and when we were sat there we?re at least 10 tables sitting with room for 8 or more. Must be short staffed. I?d ratherhave been sitting during the wait instead of standing that long. Just explain why the wait is so long, we?d understand. Themargarita from the bar was refreshing and our bartender Jennifer was a hard working delightful person. Our server was great andshout out the young man Connor who was working his tail off all night trying to keep things clean. The salad bar had a greatvariety but was hit hard by diners so could have used a little more attention, but again we saw everyone working hard allnight. Our Boda Bang shrimp were tasty. The alligator tail was probably some of the best we?d had. The onion rings wereHUGE! My fried scallops were delightful. The fried shrimp was decent - I?ve had worse and better. The potato salad on the saladbar didn?t look great but was surprisingly really good. Prices were decent too. Read more

Great seafood spot in a tiny little town. Stopped in for lunch a few weeks back on a Friday afternoon. Service was great and... they weren?t busy at all around 2pm. I got the seafood trio with fried shrimp, blackened fish and scallops and that?s where Iwent wrong. Next time I go I will stick with just the fried shrimp. It was lightly battered, seasoned perfectly and fried justright. The salad bar has a lot of great options as well. Outdoor seating aplenty to watch the boats zip by or a good place towatch FL Fish & Wildlife stop people to search the boats. ???? Not much happening in Steinhatchee so this restaurant will be aregular stop when I am there. Read more

Clean restaurant with friendly staff. The menu consisted of mostly seafood that is fried. Was hoping for more variety in the... menu offerings.. that being said the food was acceptable. Restaurant has some great potential and if you need a place to takethe family, this is a safe choice. Location is prime and prices given the location are on par. Read more

Simply wonderful meal and experience. Our server, Ms. Shawn, was the sweetest gentle soul, but so efficient! We were in and out... of there in no time but never felt rushed or hurried. The view is break taking. We love to watch the boats pass by. The food wasoutstanding, the best ever: oysters on half shell and blue crab claws for appetizers. Then we choose the specials: he had thegrouper blackened and I had the red snapper blackened. Both were cooked to perfection and were delicious. I love that theyaccommodate us natives with guava jelly to go with our hush puppies.????The salad bar was clean, tidy and so fresh. It wasn?tmissing a thing we wanted, including all those classic favorites: carrot salad, coleslaw, pea salad, potato salad, pasta salad, etc. We were too full to eat dessert but we brought home a slice each of the carrot cake and the key lime pie. Both amazing! Read more

The menu and atmosphere looked great. The salad bar was good. Service was a little on the slow side and they weren?t busy but no... big deal on that. But the seafood was disappointing. The seafood platter, the flounder was bland at best obviously a frozenproduct, the mullet was fried with the skin on and still full of pin bones. The coconut shrimp was nothing but a sea Pak productI could get at Publix in the freezer. I?d probably stick with land food next time around Read more
