We both had the red fish special. However, they didn't have very many of the sides that were offered on the menu. The fish was... well cooked. I had grits that were okay and my son had street corn on the cob, which was water logged and past its prime. Thesalad bar was a normal salad bar. A 15% surcharge was automatically added to our bill. I would probably try somewhere elsenext time. Read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. This is by far the most disappointing restaurant that I?ve ever eaten at. It took an hour... to get our food and then it was cold. We told our server and she went to get the manager. The manager never came to our tableand once we were done eating the cold food, the server told us that the manager said we didn?t have to pay if we didn?t eat thefood. No percent off the check or free dessert or anything. On top of that she was very rude after pointing out that the foodwas cold. For as expensive as the food is, it was awful. I?ve worked in multiple restaurants before, and I am more disappointedin how the situation was handled than the food being cold. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Read more

While in town for scalloping trip this past weekend, my boyfriend wanted to have dinner at Fiddlers as he remembered stopping in... there years ago and being impressed. Our server was really friendly and attentive however the food left little to be desired. The portions were small while the prices were high. They were out of lots of primary items. I had the crab cakes and they weredry and not flavorful at all. We were pretty disappointed with our meals. We had a party of 6 so we anticipated a $150 meal, but were surprised when our server informed us of the service fee and stated that it was not part of their tip. It was highlydisappointing to have $150 worth of food that was on a Captain D?s level of quality and on top of that have $28 in a service feeand equal amount as a tip. We make the trip to Steinhatchee annually but will not be visiting this restaurant again. Read more

Giving a 3 out of 5 due to prices not exactly matching the food quality. Don't get me wrong, food was good but not what I... expected for that price. Lack of seasoning and flavor. Not to mention an automatic 15% service fee! Waitress was amazing and gottipped well but food lacked flavor, I can see why not many people were there... Read more

I wanted to love this place. We were told by a few different people that the owners were liberal. What others meant as an insult... was appealing to us. Anyhow that?s beside the point. We knew about the surcharge going in because it was a big topic in some ofthe local Facebook groups. We decided to dine regardless. My partner ordered the 7 spice chicken, we didn?t realize that the $16plate only included a piece of chicken. That?s it, no sides. Just one thin singular piece of chicken. Had it been a hardy piecefor the price maybe that would not have been such a turn off. The pasta I ordered was supposed to be Cajun but didn?t have muchflavor. Although it was not terrible and the shrimp and scallops tasted fresh, it just was not Cajun. Now to the service fee, Ithink I get what you are trying to do there. But for two people eating we spent $70 including the nearly $9 service charge. Hadthe food been stellar I would not have cared much, I left a tip but not as much as I normally would have due to the charge. Ourwaitress was very quiet, not friendly, and you could tell she was not enjoying her job. I also noticed that your facility waspretty empty. I would think that you could pay your staff better with a Full restaurant rather than imposing a fee that keepspeople from coming in the first place or not returning at all. All this aside, your sad little piece of chewy chicken is themain reason for this review. I cannot justify paying $16 for just one little piece. Read more

THE WORST 3 HOUR MEAL EXPERIENCE 30 minute wait with less than a third of the tables seated. Maybe they were short staffed,... right? After being seated and ordering drinks, we waited around 45 minutes for our dinner orders to be taken. Only to find outthey were out of half the menu and never informed us. Appetizer came out hot and quickly. Another hour went by before the foodarrived. IT WAS COLD, CHEWY, AND UNSEASONED. Microwaved food for the price of fresh. Never looked up or checked back, norefills, no service. The cheese grits have no cheese, all salt and inedible *The shaved prime sandwich, microwaved philly steak*Bourbon steak bites are your best bet, no flavor but edible *Blackened shrimp pasta, unblackened/seasoned Then began the huntfor the check. What wasn't awful?... The friendly bartender, William that kept us busy during the wait time. Read more

I had high hopes because we ate here on the recommendation of a local. The short version: Service was awful and so was the... food. Hardly anyone was in the restaurant or at the bar. We sat outside on the deck. After waiting a while a woman took ourdrink orders. She was very friendly. Another woman brought the drinks out. 10 minutes later we still hadn't been given menus. My husband went in to check if they were even serving food. He was told that the bartender was our server (he had the wholepatio) but he was really busy so it would be a while. She got us menus. (There were 2 people at the bar, one two top table inthe bar area, and onlynus outside.) We ordered burgers. I had a baked potato with mine. The burgers were juicy but completelytasteless. My baked potato tasted like it had been baked weeks ago, refrigerated, then microwaved to reheat it. Even loaded,it wasn't edible. We had iced tea to drink, which came in small plastic cups. We finished the drinks early in the meal but noone ever came to check on us, so we were never offered refills. Since no one ever came out, we finally just went in to thebar to pay so we could leave. I'm giving two stars only because the two women that got us the drinks were very friendly andwelcoming. Otherwise it was a 1 star experience and we will never be back. Read more
