Excellent food choices! All the starters and small plates looked so good; hard to choose just one! The leeks and portabello... mushrooms were excellent choices, as well as the duck tacos small plate. And the drink selection was great! Read more

We love this place! We have eaten here a couple of times and the food is always amazing! It's the best we have ever eaten. My... husband had Buffalo short ribs that were to die for and I had the ravioli. So good. We also shared the key lime dessert. It allwas so good. The atmosphere and wait staff are all so friendly. You have to have a reservation because it's a small place, butit's so worth it! It's our favorite place to eat in Steamboat. Read more

Food was good. For $16 an additional Buffalo cauliflower wing would be nice. One of the reasons for loosing star was the hectic... staff, a little more calm and welcoming would be nice, our waiter also forgot to offer us the specials. Loved the brusselsprouts and the trout, the short rib was a little dry. Read more

My husband and I booked this last minute and I am so glad we did! We sat at the bar where we got to interact with the chef who... was super personal and helpful. Our waiter guided us with beverages for each of our tastes. The Brussels were the best I’veever had in my entire life (and trust me I try them at every restaurant). I got the French onion toast after I watched them makepiece after piece. Such a balanced small plate full of flavor and texture. My husband ordered the short ribs which weredelicious and the mashed potatoes were literally to die for. We finished the night off with a campfire pound cake which was alsovery balanced and unique. Overall, I rate this as one of the top dining experiences I’ve had in my life but I highly recommendsitting at the bar so yiu can watch what they are preparing and ask questions. Such a wonderful and unexpected hidden gem. Read more

Table 79 was by far our most favorite dining experience while in Steamboat. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the Olympics... and chatting with the Zack. He made a fabulous French Martini (the best I've had in Steamboat) and had some fantasticrecommendations. We always appreciate excellent service (which is hard to come by these days!) and would definitely recommendsitting at the bar with Zack or possibly at a table with Frank (he would come by to pick up drinks and chat occasionally). Great ambience and delicious food - I am a "dessert first" person and the campfire dessert was incredible and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Be sure to book a reservation since they seemed to be highly sought after the entire night. We'll return on our next trip! Read more

Amazing spot if you are ready to drop some money on some of the best food in Steamboat. A little hack is to show up between 430... and 6 for happy hour prices on some appetizers and the cocktails. And on this most recent visit we did just that starting withthe Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower wings. Choosing which one was my favorite legitimately ranked with one of toughestdecisions of my life. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly seasoned with each one cooked to the perfect texture. But let me tellyou, this Buffalo Cauliflower on the blue cheese sauce may have made a vegetarian out of me. Meanwhile this was all enhanced byperfectly balanced cocktails at happy hour prices. My personal favorite was the rusty nail. For the main course we finallysettled on trying the duck. I admittedly have never really ordered Duck, but I would equate this one of the better RibeyesI’ve ever had. Nice crispy melt in your mouth fat on top with medium rare buttery meat on the inside. Always leave here veryhappy I decided to come. The entrees are pretty pricey at around 40 per plate, but it is the type culinary experience whereit’s well worth it in my opinion. Read more

I waited a little bit to post this review because I wanted to really think about my overall experience before posting it. I gave... it 2 stars because I decided to celebrate our anniversary here, instead of a few other places that were on my list to go, andthe night ended in disappointment and frustration. I made reservations for Saturday 9/4/2021 at 7:30pm and the beginning of ourevening started off good, we got seated right away which was awesome. The gentleman that sat us also brought us out 2 glasses ofchampagne since we were celebrating our anniversary. I also highly recommend trying one of their cocktails, this was probablythe highlight of our evening along with the Tuna Poke. I ordered the Always Point North cocktail and it was very good! We alsostarted out ordering the Portabella Fries and quickly found out that they were actual mushroom fries which was our fault, weshould have read the menu better. My boyfriend does not like mushrooms, so we explained our embarrassing situation to ourwaitress and said we would like to replace that dish with the Tuna Poke. I recommend the Tuna Poke, it was very good!Unfortunately this is where our night went downhill. He ordered the Yampa Valley New York Strip and I ordered the Grilled Trout. Before our main dishes came out, I also ordered another glass of wine. Our main dishes came out and everything looked great. However, his steak was so hard to cut through, he was shaking the whole table trying! Yes, he was cutting against the grain andhe also ordered it medium rare so it should not have been that hard to cut. It was just a very bad cut of meat, and there was apretty big tendon that went through a good portion of it as well. It was definitely not worth the $42 price point. I know weshould have said something about the steak but we were already very embarrassed about the mushroom fries so we decided not tosend the steak back. My grilled trout was okay, but the ratio of trout to the succotash was not great. Too mu Read more
