See pics below: On a par with LA Michelin star experience like Citrin, Melisse. Six course, satisfying, and reasonably priced... tasting menu, deserving of a Michelin Star, exceeded expectations, must say little fresh baked breads, one for most courses wereunusual, absolutely wonderful, perfection, in fact most all the courses were at or near perfection: lobster, scallop, capon, steak, other delicious epicurean surprises... beautiful to the eye, fresh, creative and and an overall harmonious culinaryexperience. All aspects of this sophisticated, thoughtfully appointed restaurant (pics) are beautiful but unlike LA attire wastourist/western casual or dressy as you wish. Our server Kyle was knowledgeable and provided friendly, impeccable service. Theowner Victoria ? is an amazing, international woman, herself an executive chef, who warmly welcomes you if you speak/meet heras if you are her only guest. Sauvage itself is worth a beautiful (dry) drive into Steamboat from Denver, do an overnight trip, they have good breakfast places as well, great shops. We will be back to Steamboat...mainly to dine at Sauvage! Read more

Great culinary experience rather than traditional fine dining. If you want to try something you haven’t before this is the... place to go. I would recommend the 3 course instead of the 6 course. The corn soup was good and the popcorn added texture. Thebeef is my favorite out of the protein. The soufflé was my favorite desert with peaches on the bottom. The macaroons on thebirthday cake were the best I’ve ever had! The Foie gras is great if you want to try something very French! Be adventurouswith your tastebuds at sauvage! Read more

Food price / quality rating 10. The atmosphere is Contemporary Chic. When you walk into this restaurant you immediately know... that you are in for an unforgettable dining experience. The well chosen decor, includes a beautiful black and white granitebar. The dining area (seats about 50) and bar area (seats about 15) and patio area (seats about 16) have their own distinctpersonalities but harmonize and blend seamlessly. We were lucky enough to find this place while on vacation, and even luckierto arrive during Happy Hour where we were offered a varied list of small plate meals. We ordered the Phyllo Baked Cheese,Meatballs, Pork and Cocoa Sandwich, and Lamb Ribs. All of them were prepared properly with premium ingredients, and presentedbeautifully and artistically through use of color and texture of a wide array of garnishes. To describe all of the nuancesassociated with each dish would require 100 words a piece. We sat at the bar where Kyle entertained us and made us feelwelcome. His mixology skills and knowledge of the town made our visit very enjoyable. The crowning glory for our repast was aPalisade Peach Souffle with a cup of top shelf coffee by local company "Big Iron Roasters". We've eaten every meal for the last12 days at restaurants, and this place is by far the best on all counts - quality, flavors, preparation, presentation, value, and service. Kudos and thanks to Chef Kasper and his entire crew for making our best vacation food memory! Read more

An amazing dining experience! We did the 3 course tasting menu and each dish as outstanding. Not only was it great food, the... restaurant itself is beautiful. And our waiter…. Denny! He was such a gem, absolutely made the experience. I’ve been comingto Steamboat for many years and this is hands down my #1 spot in town. Go, you won’t regret it. Read more

Ridiculously good - we did the 6 course tasting that included bread service. Bread was absolutely amazing - 4 different kinds... and included their own infused oil and truffle butter. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. And the restaurant itself wasbeautiful. Enjoyed all the courses - my husband and I have done several chefs tastings and this was one of our favoriteexperiences. I don't usually write reviews for restaurants because honestly you usually don't see anyone doing anything special. Go to an... Italian restaurant well you get Italian food, sushi restaurant well sushi you get my drift. Well Sauvage cant be put in a box,its not a restaurant meal , its more of a culinary journey and experience. Everything has a story if you are interested, newflavors were discovered and the presentation was like looking at a series of beautiful paintings. Come with an open mind, don't expect a hamburger and french fries of a large steak that is not what this experience is about. Read more

OK - this is French fine dining in a BEAUTIFUL mountain town. Reservations needed and it is usually a tasting menu - prix fix... for 6 course dinner. Well, at first the portions seem miniscule but by 3rd or 4th item, you start feeling sated. By the end ofdessert, you realize the sizes were perfect (at least for non-gluttons) Anyway, the food - wow: some dishes sound familiar butthey pack so much more flavor then described. This place is pricey but not exorbitant. Come here if you want a higher, morerefined dining experience than most mountain town fare. I mean that it a good way. Read more
