This was the best prime rib my husband has ever had! I also greatly enjoyed my shrimp scampi! We were grateful for the... complimentary dessert offered to my husband for his birthday! The only thing we'd say needed to improve (but not enough to takeaway from 5 stars) was the calamari. We found it a bit over-breaded and over-cooked compared to other places. I have been coming here since the first summer they opened and have ALWAYS had great food and service in a clean place. I have... only gotten prime rib and the salad bar as that is why we come here. This time I tried the elk and it was not only cookedperfectly, but was delicious and flavorful. It is fresh not frozen and worth every penny!!! There's something to give and take from here. Good is great. Steamboat prices for what it is. However the gentle ambiance... and salad bar will entice you in. Have an ore fashioned and order the Pine Grove burger with broccoli ???? and long grainrice. It's a great burger. If single or double sit at the bar skip the line. Read more

came here for my birthday dinner and was very impressed. easily the best mountain steakhouse in the state! outstanding service,... ambiance and food. we had the battered shrimp, perfectly medium rare 8oz elk loin and 6oz filet. well worth the cost consideringthe meat was cooked perfectly. dont leave without trying the house potato and hitting up the very fresh and very delicious saladbar. one more thing, they bring you cinnamon rolls with your dinner bread! chefs kiss* Read more
