Great for allergies and dietary requirements! Our very friendly waitress advised us that their kitchen no longer uses any nuts... to make it safe for allergies. The menu also offers gluten free bread for only $1 extra (used to at least $2 at other places)and also offer veggie burger alternatives. This attention to dietary requirements just adds to the reputation in town as a longstanding local venue with good value and reliably yum food and great service. Also very kid friendly - interesting decor andcoloring in keeps them entertained. As does the milkshakes and great kids menu. Read more

Not at all what we expected, in the best possible way. Nothing like a typical cheesy 50s diner, instead it felt like an... authentic locals hangout. The food was delivered quickly and was delicious, and the staff clearly loves theirjobs. Highly-recommended! Order a burger, they are HUGE! Read more

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sat morning. Got seated right away, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The interior... is a throwback to 50s culture with plenty of Marilyn, Elvis, and other memorabilia adorning the walls. I got the burrito and itwas excellent. I didn't need to eat again the rest of the day! Next time I'll have to try some of their pies because thosesounded awesome. Read more

We were passing through looking for a place to eat and found this place. This place has a cool 50s vibe with modern people. The... food is typical diner fare, food and homey. Plus it's in steamboat! To anyone passing through our door that matter if you're alocal ... cool place for a bite. Read more

Rolled into the diner today to get some brunch and had a good experience. The menu is expansive and there's something for... everyone. My server was nice and made sure I was taken care of. The place has a 50s 60s vibe to it. Only downsides to myexperience are the price of the menu items and the size of the place. I felt like the cost was a little on the high side, butthats to be expected for down town on Lincoln. And, the facilities felt cramped, also to be expected. I would say if you try togo during rush hours you'll have a hard time getting a table, but in off hours I was able to be seated immediately. Read more

Customer service was good, food was just ok. I had an Egg Benedict, but the egg yolks were dried, not pouched and runny as they... should be. Pancakes and waffles were good. Read more

We were new in town. Just on vacation. We walked up and down looking for some dinner. We were not disappointed at Johnnie's. I... enjoyed the fish and chips with onion rings and my wife ordered a cup of chowder and a French dip sandwich. All was excellent. What really made our day was the staff. Our waiter was great and the gal behind the counter was super nice and made us two supershakes. Thank you! Read more
