This was NOT the normal Beau Jo's experience. Thinnest "mountain" pie I've ever seen, hardly any toppings, definitely not worth... the $30+ we spent on just the pizza. We've tried the Beau Jo's in Idaho springs and we're looking forward to trying out the Steamboat location. However, we had a... very different experience. At this location you order at the counter and then they bring the food to you when it's ready. It'stotally self-service to you. You have to go get your own utensils and fountain drinks. There's beer available as well. Thepies are pricey. We got a large specialty pizza for about 35 bucks. Unfortunately the crust overtook most of the pizza, theamount of toppings didn't match the price and this was disappointing to us. There are probably better options in Steamboat forpizza with better prices if you're feeding a family. Read more

A must try if you are in the area. Make sure to order your pizza correctly (size and flavor). I suggest the mountain style since... it?s pretty unique from all the other pizzas I?ve tried. Be warned! A large specialty prairie pie for ~$30 is ONLY 13?. It does state this on the menu, but we overlooked this and were... very disappointed when we picked up our 2 pies for takeout. We usually dine in at the Idaho Springs location and order the samething, large prairie pie, and have never felt that it was too small. Not sure if they make them bigger when you dine in?!? Mostpizza restaurants larges are at least 16-18?. For the price Beau Jo?s charges, they should consider increasing the size.Luckily, the taste was similar which we do like so we were happy with that at least. Read more

Freaking outstanding food! We have eaten here 3 times in the past week. The mountain pie crust is the best I have had in CO. I... tried the Tip Top, Little Italy, and the Neopolitan. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo, Mediterranean Pasta and the VeggieCalzone. They were all incredible! I would drive to Steamboat for this pizza! Now time to go ride some more to burn it off. Had a great experience here last night, ordered the veggie supreme switched the olives for spinach but with the Follow Your... Heart plant based cheese and anyone that?s plant based like me knows how picky we can be about the brand used for a vegan pizzalol It tasted fresh, got the Prairie pie and it?s still a thick crust but it was delicious with the agave wheat, sat outside andhad a great time.
