Reviews for Sorrento Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant in Statesville, NC
Stopped here for lunch on the way to Asheville. My wife ordered thier panini of the day. Mixed meat, tomatoes and lettuce. The... wife thought something was "off" about it and we looked inside. Well, lettuce that is wilted and black will taste off. Serverwas pleasant and the pizza was just ok. Read more

Me and my boyfriend are out to try all the restaurants in Statesville - I've been living here for almost all of my life yet I... had never tried Sorrento's. The service we got was amazing. Our server, Chad, was extremely attentive and very friendly! I'm abit sheltered when it comes to food, so I had a question about a soup I had never heard of. He brings a small portion out justso I could try it, and it was delicious! All of our food was, especially the garlic knots. He was so incredibly kind to us andchecked on us frequently to make sure we were doing alright. Not to mention the restaurant is very clean and well kept with agreat atmosphere. I'll be sure to come back next time I'm looking for an Italian fix! Read more
We had a fantastic experience at your restaurant. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. The service was... impeccable. The food was prepared perfectly. What I would consider, from my experiences at other 5 star Italian restaurants, isminor but separates you from the best. I would create a better mood. Your lighting is saying that you are not into acknowledgingan experience. The overhead lights are intrusive. They hurt your eyes. It screams no atmosphere. Dim them and invest in somesort of lighting on the table as in battery operated candles. Music is also lacking. Acoustical Italian music is always infashion. We found that the staff sweeping the floor as we were dining was disgusting. The broom and the mere cleaning exercisewas distracting and dismissive of our experience. Cleaning should wait until the patrons have left. Parmesan cheese should beswiftly offered as the meal was served. It was not. Complements on your great salad dressings. Cloth napkins would becomplimentary to this dining experience. A big spoon should be offered without request for twirling pasta. Read more
Friendly staff and good food! I've been a few times and was happy with each meal. The bread is very good.
Mackenzie was our waitress tonight. She was absolutely amazing. She kept mine and my aunt's teas full and was amazingly... attentive even though she was running like crazy. The food was delicious and piping hot. Food came out very quickly even thoughit was busy. Will definitely be back again! Read more
Really good Italian food, pleasantly surprised from the small strip mall setting. It was quiet and nicely decorated inside.... Quick and friendly service. Most of the staff wearing masks (everyone that came to the table was). The calamari was a littletoo lightly seasoned, but the thin cuts were cooked perfectly and not rubbery at all. My entree was great - Capellini Positano.I doubled the crab and skipped the shrimp (allergic) without any issues from the kitchen; they were sauteed in a garlic whitewine sauce with angel hair pasta. It was excellent and both of the entrees were large portions. We each took half our mealshome. Read more
We placed an order on Wednesday for my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner on Friday. When we arrived Friday at the arranged time... they did not have a record of the order. At that point they said it would be over an hour before the food could be cooked anddidn't even act apologetic . This is a very unprofessional way to conduct business. I would never recommend them for a largeorder if the event matters to you. Its unfortunate that you can't give less than one star in a rating system, they deserve less. Read more
