I have been wanting to try this place for months and finally got to last night. Definitely one of my new favs restaurants. The... flavor palettes are amazing!!! I Definitely wouldn't say this is a Mexican restaurant. It's more tropical islander restaurant.Make sure you put this place on your list! You won't be disappointed. The pork belly sandwich was so yummy! Very soft and not dry at all. Alligator meat was well seasoned and the trio nachos was... amazing. Taking one star off for the burnt plantains. I?ve had caramelized plantains before and these were dry and burnt. Thisis not your authentic type of Mexican food. More of an American fusion Mexican restaurant. Food is good but they forget something in my order almost every time. Ordered $50 worth of food to go. They forgot the sauce... that goes with the Hog Leg. I had to drive all the way back to get the sauce for my hog leg and the lady didn?t even apologizefor it being left out. My wife?s guacamole was almost black. You could tell it wasn?t fresh. One of my favorite restaurants in Statesville! I went for lunch earlier this week and had an amazing taco tray with fries and a... watermelon-cucumber Truly to drink. My friends and I requested to sit outside and were led to a clean, colorful table in theshade, then were greeted by our wonderful server. She was very kind and helpful with our orders. As a bonus, one of themanagers, Mel, offered our table a festive frozen lemonade on the house! Would absolutely recommend. Read more

While visiting my in-laws, they took my wife and I here for dinner. I wasn't that hungry to begin with, but they were, so I just... went along. I'm glad I did. We split the bill, so I could get what I wanted and not feel guilty about the price. My in-laws gotthe large order of the Little Piggy nachos for all of us to share, and even with five of us, there were still leftovers. The fewbites I had were delicious and heaping with toppings. Very tasty! I started with the blackened tuna bites and then got the AlohaBowl while my wife got the Beach Bum tacos. The tuna was good but a bit overcooked for my taste, as I prefer then to be a bitpink in the middle. Just my preference. The Aloha bowl was decent, but nothing to write home about, as it was skilletted chickenwith some rice and two pieces of pineapple. My wife's Beach Bum tacos looked amazing and she devoured them veryquickly. Overall, a great place to go for food. Our server was very attentive, as I am a fish when it comes to water. My husband and I went here for lunch. Our waitress Phoenix was very nice and accommodating. We got the wings for an appetizer.... The wings were very good. My husband got the fish and chips for his meal. The fish was greasy and had too much breading. Thehush puppies that came with it tasted stale. I had the key west burrito. The shrimp was over cooked and the rice was undercooked. The street corn that came with my meal looked delicious but lacked flavor. Needless to say, our meal as a whole wasdisappointing. Everything was pretty good! I ordered the bonfire brisket tacos with street corn and rice the only thing is I would not get the... side of rice again it didn?t have any flavor and had a lot of hard pieces in it. Wow! Words cannot express how amazing my lunch was today!! I was served at the bar by Autumn who was super friendly and made me... a delicious, perfectly balanced strawberry daiquiri.
