???? When I came to this waffle house to place a To-go order i was rudely told "we're not doing To-go orders right now. ????????... What? I look at the girl and the minimum people in the restaurant and I say "So y'all can't cook food and put it in abox?"???????? As I wait for a response????, the girl is looking like she has no clue what to say about it. She stared at me withher mouth open???? thinking of a good answer. She then says "ummm I'm just doing what Im told so no" I look around again indisbelief of what I just heard. I said "So all of these people in here can't get To-go boxes then right?" She had no words.???????? I can't believe I got denied service for probably 2 or more reasons: 1. The FULL staff was too lazy. 2. My skin colorwasn't to some as hers. Or 3. Generally mediocre service and food. Food is hot, but not quite the same as what is typical at other WH locations (not that... they are the epitomy of fine cuisine by any means). The only redeeming quality is they are usually not busy ever, especiallywhen you compare to the options after 9 pm at anything on Fair Rd drive-thru or other Waffle Houses, then this place sounds moreattractive. The last time I went, the server never even came up to me to take my order like I had some sort of disease- justdid the absolute minimum to not get fired, probably did not deserve a tip and and just had a poor attitude and body language thewhole time. I'm not going to name names as I'm going to still eat here for the reason above, but this is a pretty typical ofthis location. Read more

After driving 4 hours, exhausted, and starving to bring my daughter to college orientation we stopped here. The worse mistake... ever. Every table was dirty. After patiently waiting for the young lady to wipe the table, upon sitting down I noticed the cookleaning over the counter on her phone with gloves on. I asked her to change her gloves before fixing our food. She started on arant about she knows how to do her job, and she just changed her gloves. At no time did she wash her hands. Sometimes waffle houses are staffed with people that may not understand about having a sense of urgency, but this one does. The... cooks work with urgency to prepare and deliver the food to your table so that it is still hot. The staff here are courteous andpolite delivering your meal with a smile. If for some reason your food isn?t as you expect or how you ordered, the staff herewon?t have a problem making it right. Overall the experience is fairly good for dining in or taking out. Read more
Wow, what an amazing unexpected surprise! My husband and I were visiting our son in Statesboro for the weekend. One of his... roommates expressed how she was craving Waffle House and wanted us all to go on Sunday for breakfast before we left. I have toadmit that I was a tad bit apprehensive. I had never eaten at a Waffle House, and it didn?t seem like our usual Sunday brunchspots. Regardless, we decided we give it a shot. We arrived that morning around 12:30. The parking lot was jam packed alongwith about a 10-15 minute wait for our table. Once we were seated, our waitress (Elizabeth) promptly greeted us and was ready totake our drink order. My son and his roommate were starving and proceeded to go ahead and give her their food order, whichincluded a ton of substitutions, deletions and special cooking instructions. I must say, Elizabeth handled their complicatedorder with ease and a smile. Our breakfast arrived in a timely manner and within seconds of each other. We all ordered differentvariations of the ?All-Star? breakfast. Everyone was in love with the hash browns...to the point that we ordered extra.Everything was fantastic... from the perfectly cooked bacon, eggs, scrumptious pecan chocolate chip pancakes and the deliciousgrilled biscuits and gravy.
