I live in North Carolina at the time and was wanting to do a surprise birthday for my daughter turning 13 while we were visiting... family in the area for Christmas. I reached out and placed my order and sent pictures of what I wanted. The cake was exactlywhat I asked for picture wise, It looked perfect. However, the cake itself was dry and was like eating a sponge and the caketaste so bland and plain. The icing in the middle tasted like straight crisco. I paid a lot of money for the cake and was veryupset. I emailed the owner that day the cake was picked up after the party and now over a week later I have yet to hear back. Read more
Called another local place for cheesecake and they couldn?t do an order for a chocolate cheesecake. I was unsure who else in the... Statesboro area made cheesecakes. On a whim, I called Statesboro Sweets. My order was fulfilled in four days! It was a deliciouschocolate cheesecake for my birthday! Definitely recommend. The food was aweful. The cakes were a huge disappointment. My bf surprised me by ordering food for an early mothers day... surprise and had it delivered. We ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwich, a hamburger, and 3 pieces of cake. Red Velvet, Lemon Raspberry, and vanilla poundcake. Took a bite of each and gave the rest to my dogs. Our experience with Statesboro Sweets was absolutely, over-the-top wonderful! Due to the virus outbreak, we had a Disney trip... cancelled and ended up having to throw together a birthday party for our son at the last minute in the middle of the chaos. Ireached out at the very last minute to Angelia, and it?s safe to say she pulled through for us. My husband found a dinosaurcake that I was convinced was way too complicated to be done in a couple days time; well, I was wrong. Angelia left me - and myfamily - speechless (this, of note, is not easy to do). The cake was absolutely mind blowing! This cake looked identical tothe picture I sent her, and I still cannot believe it! Moreover, it?s one thing to make a cake look amazing, but it?s anotherto make that same cake taste amazing. Well, Angelia did not fall short with a strawberry pound cake for my ?strawbaby? lovingtoddler. This is no subpar pound cake; this is the real deal - even in a fondant covered cake. (Even the fondant tastedamazing, in case you were wondering.) I?ve added a photo in the Google photos section of this beautiful cake. It smells horrible, just like the customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Even the seafood looks old.
I have tried MULTIPLE times to call this place and i got a voicemail every time saying the mailbox is full. I even showed up... there twice during normal business hours and they were closed. They had a number on the door to call and when i tried to call itit wasn?t even in service. Will definitely be taking my business els where ! Read more
