I am extremely happy with this applebees location! The staff there is top notch. I had the pleasure of having Caitlin T as my... server that day. She was so thoughtful, and extremely bubbly! I had a rough day so I was telling her a bit of my story (serversare like therapists right?) anyway as I was pouring my heart out about my sons father (you can see where that story was heading)she suggested which meal would be best! She absolutely made me forget about my horrible day & let a sad person rant! She was sodown to earth, a real life Angel.. an Applebees Angel if you will. I will be going there all the time, we need more people likeCaitlin in the world! I also then had the pleasure of interacting with the General manager Megan Sanchez who without a doubt wasextremely helpful with helping me get directions to my next destination (I have not been a Staten Island resident long). Meganwas busy as it must have been a dinner rush, but I have to say she got everything done with the quickness's! I wish I could givethis location 10 stars !!!! ???? The atmosphere was great. Customer service on point. Our server King was great and the food was eatable. Service was great.
Service was amazing! The staff were all super friendly and efficient. We went for Mother's day as this was my mother in law's... choice. Each woman at the table received a Mother's day card with a coupon for a future visit. I thought that was a nice touch.Food was good and the overall experience was very pleasant. Worse experience ever here at Applebee?s. First, we waited 35 minutes before someone came to seat us and she walked by 4 times.... Secondly, there was a piece of hair in my food it just made me sick to my stomach. Lastly, my child pasta was so dry and I askedfor extra sauce. 0/10 won?t recommend at all. Not a good experience for me. My parent and I got there 815pm for table outdoor patio, body temp checked then told us to wait 5... mins, it was not full at all, the waiter cleaned the table then somehow we waited 30 mins just standing out there, then iasked the lady what were we waiting for? At least 7 tables empty and she said other 5 mins, then we waited other 15 mins, around 920pm, I said why we had to wait so long, then start saying sorry to us, we sit down waited 15 mins for server, weordered the food, waited other 20mins just for drink. We wished to leave and go to other place, finally we finished the meal1030pm. Food wasnt great, service was bad. I will never go back again. We havent been back to Applebee for almost a year, so we learned that they have a special promotion for Tuesday night and we... decide to go back and try it. The place is nice and cozy. It wasn't a lot of people at 6pm, the service is kind of slow comparedto similar fast food joint. I ordered a chicken parmesan, it was just ok nothing spectacular. My husband burger is good though,but for the price we paid it was a bargain. Update as of 2/26/19: since my last review, we came back after work this eveningagain 6pm. It wasn't alot of people, we have a very nice attentive waitress. I ordered combo grilled chicken & tilapia withbroccoli & bake potatoes. It was delicious! They have improved since our last visit so I give a four stars minus one because Isee they are really short handed. No busboy clean up the table? But all in all, our visits are great & we did enjoy our foods &drinks. Read more
This is for the Friday night manager who told me to seek medical attention and provide him with a doctors note for food... poisoning before I ?assume? that I was served bad chicken. I am not a complainer, and I know every person says this beforethey?re about to complain, but I didn?t even bother to call and complain earlier this afternoon after I threw my salad awaybecause the chicken tasted sour. About an hour after eating I started getting sharp shooting cramps and sped home to sit in mybathroom for 45 minutes feeling like I was going to throw up while sitting on the toilet which continued for the rest of theday/night. I connected the dots and called the restaurant just to explain that the chicken might?ve been bad and the firstperson I spoke to was great. The manager, however, gaslit and belittled me to no end; he told me that nobody else complained allday so I couldn?t have had bad chicken, and to seek medical attention numerous times to which I said it?s not that big of a dealfor $27.00, but after he hung up on me while I was in the middle of thanking him and apologizing for the fourth time, I got inmy car and went to urgent care where I was, in fact, told I had food poisoning. The staff on the other hand is great, but find amanager who knows how to handle complaints properly without belittling and gaslighting their customers. Read more
