Went to pickles during a football game with some friends and paid a 3 dollar cover. I was sober and didn't order an alcoholic... beverage for 2 hours. Was thrown out by one of the bouncers who claimed i was "too intoxicated" and had to leave, even thoughmy friend(who was drinking a whole pitcher) wasn't asked to leave. The bouncers make the bars in State college a hostileenvironment and give off the vibe they are on a power trip by the way they treat people. Sorry you have a dead end job and areprobably going nowhere in life, but at least be good enough at to tell who is stone cold sober and who's drunk. Bar is a greatplace, and I have many great memories there. But after the way I was treated last time I went they have lost my business andhopefully many others. Read more

I usually enjoy this place but my most recent experience was a poor experience. I spent $120 to skip the line. After my 3rd... drink at the back bar, I noticed my drink was very limey and not a Kansas City ice water at all. I asked for a new drink andpaid for the new one, as I understand as a bartender myself, stuff happens throughout the night. Due to the bartender beingoffended as I didn?t tip due to the rude attitude, I was kicked out. I went to cafe, down the street, and that?s a much betterbar. Read more

Very clean, good prices, and a ton of drink options. Small food menu, didn't get food but what we saw looked and smelled good.... Definitely more of a focus on alcohol than food. TVs in all directions to watch any game that's on. Read more

My husband got kicked out here tonight for no reason. Not a great bar so not a big loss; but was disappointing to happen half a... drink after paying $120 cover for the group to get in. I guess that was our fault, we won?t make that mistake again. I tried toreach out to management but the phone number goes straight to a voicemail that?s not set up. I?d love to speak to someone aboutwhat happened. Read more

I thought people were getting kicked out for being drunk until I paid $60 for us to get in to watch world series game 1 and the... owners friend shoved us over a foot and we got kicked out for raising an objection. Stay away. Edit: After calming down wereturned to ask for the owner. After waiting over five minutes I asked if the owner who kicked us out would be speaking to us,and the three bouncers on staff very aggressively asked me why. I calmly told them three times that they need to ask the ownerwhy I'm asking for him, and if he's not willing to come out, that I'd be calling the police. After the third objction, theoriginal bouncer I spoke to refunded me only $60. It is not acceptable, and I strongly recommend you avoid this establishment. Read more
